Das Tulip, the perfect place to stay in Helen Georgia, is smack in the center of all the fun Alpine Helen has to offer! Our ground floor, single story condo is handicap accessible and boasts a sprawling designed floor plan with two king size bed suites; each with their own connected, private full bathrooms. Open and spacious living room and dining area are a great size to share with friends. The kitchen is roomy enough for more than one chef and is fully equipped just like home.

Start your mornings off by crossing the street to Hofer’s Bakery & Café for an early, fresh baked treat. The famous Betty’s Country store is also next door for fresh, grind your own selection coffees and cookies the size of your face! Stroll down the main strip just a block to peruse all the wonderful unique shops and the marketplace. Pick up some tasty treats from the chocolate shops like Hansel & Gretel’s. All of Helen has joined in the Bavarian fun with beautiful themed architecture, murals, and landscapes.

Start off summer in Helen with the annual hot air balloon race to the Atlantic. Helen is the starting launch site each year at the end of May. The last week of May also marks the opening of Helen’s water slide and lazy river amusement park so bring your suit and float your cares away while the adventurous few ride the mountain flumes Down to the pools. Park is open until September so don’t miss this cool treat.

Tube the Chattahoochee! Take in the town from the coolest place around since the Chattahoochee River curls right through the city. Hop on the gentle waters and cascade your day in the clean and clear waters. The wide and shallow river formations through town, make a pleasant tour to both the young and old at heart. Don’t miss this summertime must do!

Long fall seasons are exciting in Helen as the mountains take on color and daily activities linger from the cool breezes across the valley. Fall is a great time to take a hike and discover Unicoi state park. Take back the outdoors for a day on the shaded trails through the forest and lakeside or visit beautiful Anna Ruby Falls just minutes from the condo.

Oktoberfest in September? Yep, you read that right. Helen is renowned for its festive celebration of Oktoberfest each year spanning three weeks in September. Book early and often as this event is a must do again and again! Colorful decorations and costume-clad dancers serve Bavaria’s best brews for a celebration of tastes and sounds sure to delight!

A Bavarian holiday lies closest to our hearts as the town’s twinkle lights sprinkle the seasons magic across Helen. Just as Germany’s coveted Christmas village is the holy grail of the holiday spirit, you can’t get much closer than Helen Georgia for the winter charm in the mountains. A light snow brings a special hush to the streets and reminds us of Dr. Seuss’ Who-ville. Be sure to stop in the Helen Christmas Shoppe, also just out the back door from Das Tulip, our condo.

Babyland General Hospital is just five miles from Das Tulip and is the delivery center com the world famous Cabbage Patch Kids! Enjoy the young at heart nostalgia of this fun land tour of the facility and introduce your childhood memories to a new generation.

Wine tours! How could I skip this? The ideal climate of North Georgia’s mountain slopes has an amazing effect on the tender grapes and muscadine fruits as they drape across the small craft vineyards surrounding Helen. Book a “booze cruise” for a comfortable guided tour to taste nature’s nectar. Each season produces unique flavors to be squashed into barrels and bottled to take home with you.

The alpine coaster is under construction just down the street and will be a great new attraction once it is open. Zip through the trees down the mountainside along the steel track as you control the speed of your own sled around twists and turns! Location, location, location! Das Tulip is great because it is like big city living in this super small town. We love waking up and just walking over to the bakery or coffee shop. We are very comfortable letting our three children explore the areas down the street and Riverside. Park your car for the weekend and take in some urban mountain time fusion!

Our base price is for two guests with the ability to serve up to Nine for a very reasonable additional cost. It is only $25 per guest per night additional cost which is reflected in your total quote. We price our property to be affordable for all party sizes while accounting for additional wear and cleaning required which we bear. Thank you for staying with us.

1. SMOKING- is allowed outside only. Please pick up all butts and use ashtray.
2. VISITORS - People other than those in the guest party set forth in your reservation may not stay overnight in the property. Any other persons in the property and their actions are the sole responsibility of the registered guest.
3. The the owners is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the primacies.
4. PETS are NOT allowed. We are highly allergic! IMPORTANT: THE UNAUTHORIZED OCCUPANCY OF PETS WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION AND LOSS OF ALL RENTS AND SECURITY DEPOSITS!
5. FURNISHINGS - Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Do not rearrange or abuse furniture or other fixtures. Furnishings are subject to change without notice. Under no circumstances are furniture, bedding, mattress pads, utensils or any other property supplied with the rental property to be taken out or transferred from one property to another (will result in a charge against Guest(s) security deposit). Moving of furniture is prohibited; any evidence of such will result in a charge against Guest(s) security deposit. Loss of these items, as well as damage to the property or furnishings in excess of normal wear will be charged to Guest(s), the renter. Certain areas in each rental property are locked for the OWNERS personal storage and are not included in this rental.
6. APPLIANCES - Only use appliances for their intended use.
7. FIREPLACE - The fireplace should not be used from May - October. No other open flames allowed in the condo. (candles, lighters, incense)
8. FIREWOOD – Firewood for the EXTERIOR firepit is not provided for you but may be purchased locally at every grocer or roadside stand. DO NOT LEAVE CONDO WITH A FIRE GOING IN THE FIREPIT.
9. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES - No drinking of alcoholic beverages by persons under the legal age of twenty-one (21) is allowed. Should a Guest(s) or guest of Guest(s) be arrested for underage drinking at the rental unit property or should Owner(s) observe a Guest(s) or guest of Guest(s) under the age of 21 drinking alcoholic beverages, this rental agreement may be terminated and the Guests evicted at the option of the Owner(s). Illegal drug use is strictly prohibited. Kegs are not permitted on the property.
10. HOT TUB USE - No children under the age of 18 without adult supervision! When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Temperature should not be set over 100° for children. Use at your own risk. DO NOT STAND or SIT ON THE HOT TUB COVER! Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. They will break and you will be charged for the replacement. Remember when not using the hot tub, leave the cover on so the hot tub will stay warm.
11. EXTRA HOT TUB CLEANING - Hot Tubs have been cleaned prior to your arrival. There will be a $75.00 charge imposed if guest(s) require an additional cleaning of the Hot Tub after Guest(s) stay.
12. LINEN - A basic supply of linen is provided in each property. Bed linen and bath towels are not changed during your stay.
13. WEATHER - If there is inclement weather, no refunds will be given for storms unless roads are declared impassable by state and local authorities. We do not refund due to other lesser road conditions. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. Gravel drives are well maintained; however, note that mountain roads can be very hazardous so take the utmost care while driving.
14. CLEANING REQUIREMENTS – Guest(s) are required to leave the property in the same general condition it was upon arrival. Dishes should be cleaned and put away but beds do not need to be made. Agent(s) will dust, vacuum, sanitize, and clean all towels and linens upon your departure.
