“It’s a fantastic lodge in the middle of the kungör. The cabins are very rustic, but has electricity and a private bathroom. Wi-Fi in the public building. Good food, wine and beer in the restaurant. Nice tours in the jungle and fantastic personel. If you don’t expect a five star hotel, than you get a five star experience.”

“The forest and the wildlife are the reason for staying here so in that respect this place gets 10 out of 10. We did a birding tour and a night walk and took advantage of the free nature walk. The latter was conducted by Joel and I strongly encourage people not to pass on this even though they may have other tours booked. “My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys. ”

“OMG we loved this place. Best part of out 10 day trip that included Arenal and Manuel Antonio. Great early birding tour, and saw tanagers and kingbirds from our balcony. The cabins and walkways are of beautiful wood, nestled in trees and flowers. ”

“This is a charming resort. Please don’t expect five star luxury but the facilities are very nice and the team extremely friendly. They cater for larger groups but that was not a problem. The area has some wonderful walks and wildlife - although unfortunately we did not see any sloths. ”

“I loved the family who own and run Los Gallitos. They are so genuinely friendly -- it made our stay. We tried to stay two nights, and wish we had. The pool was lovely, and the location is perfect for exploring the area around the waterfalls in the mountains. ”

“We enjoyed the cabin; it was perfect for our needs. It might have been nice to have a chair in the cabin. But we were able to sit at the restaurant tables and use the wifi there. so all our needs were met! Thank you ! ”

“Very nice property with stunning flora and fauna. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The included breakfast - fresh fruits, eggs, housemade toast and jam, rice and beans as well as a fresh coconut - was delicious, especially the coffee. I only stayed one night and had to leave early in the morning, wish I had more time here but plan to be back next time. ”
