“Firstly the pictures used for the advert are very much out of date. I have been in touch with the owner to let him know our concerns. The house is in a great area for the centre of Pickering and a few shops within a few minutes walk so ideal. Firstly we struggled to get into the property as the lock was a bit temperamental. Kitchen is well equipped and has everything youd need. Both bedrooms are also fine with comfy beds. One fan was provided which was needed with the hot weather. Downstairs is...

“We had a lovely week at the cottage, only one point taken off for comfort as we found the sofas very low and tired, we are seniors and maybe that’s why we were needing firm seats. Our hosts were both friendly and helpful and we were intrigued by the amount of squirrels 🐿️ constantly removing nuts from the tree opposite this was very entertaining. The weather was very kind to us only saw one day of showers. We were warm and happy with our accommodation and the area which we know very well, we...

“We had a fabulous holiday... early days post lockdown this cottage had a lovely private garden where we ate most of our meals. Easy access into Pickering suites our party of my 92 year old mum and our eight month old pup. Great beaches and walks nearby. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo”

“Great accommodation as advertised. ”

“It’s well situated and a nice place to stay. ”

“It was a lovely stay in a lovely location. A car is essential when staying here. I have one criticism. Whoever stayed previously obviously brought a dog that smelled. The odour was strong and pungent in the lounge and despite us ventilating the room it was still present when we left. Apart from that the cottage was fabulous. Thank you too for the welcome pack.”

“Beautifully renovated cottage with comfortable bed and modern washroom. Conveniently located for exploring Guisborough and helpful guidebook with suggestions for the kids and adults. The grocery store is a 5-minute block away also. Andy was very helpful and easy to communicate with.”

“Great place and especially good if you have dogs”

“Beautiful cottage - ideally situated for exploring North Yorkshire. Like a home from home with everything you need to cater for yourself, although the town has several nice restaurants to choose from. Hosts are on site if you need them although we had no problems. The cottage we stayed in (Bransdale) had a lovely private garden for us to sit in with a little blackbird family coming in and out. Just perfect.”

“Hungate cottages are perfectly placed near to Pickering town centre. Beautiful complex of converted barns and cottages. Our cottage was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. We had a great week, thank you.”
