Soggiorno in castello vittoriano trascurato.
L'albergo è situato in un palazzo antico e la prima impressione è stata superlativa, soprattutto per la posizione: immerso nel verde. Tuttavia la struttura è lasciata andare: scarsa pulizia in generale, piove dentro nell'ingresso. La pulizia della camera è scarsa poiché la moquette vecchia, impolverata, macchiata, sporca e non incollata bene diffonde una sensazione di polvere latente ovunque. La tenda della finestra del bagno era rotta, è stata tolta ma non sostituita. Siamo stati accolti da Anna, una dipendente della reception molto disponibile che si è occupata delle nostre esigenze in modo impeccabile. In generale questo posto fantastico merita più cura.

Fascino ed eleganza
A soli 40 minuti dal centro di Londra nella ricca e affascinante campagna inglese. Relax e golf fanno da contorno ad una residenza storica. Buona la cucina con un servizio ottimo. Personale cordiale guidati da una manager disponibile e molto professionale

Finalmente l'Inghilterra
meravigliosa atmosfera nel maniero e gentilezza del personale sala/bar. al ricevimento potrebbero fare meglio nell'assistere la clientela. a volte bastano piccole cose come ad esempio aere un adattatore prese telefoniche europee; proporre un taxi o chiamarlo per chi è sprovvisto di auto.

il Wi-fi in camera è molto difficoltoso. in stanza la rete GSM non prende. la stanza non si oscura e al mattino presto la luce filtra dalle tende

Arrived after booking a superior room with view only to be given an attic room with skylights with no curtains. The room was also stifling hot due to a broken radiator outside the room. Was then moved to what should’ve been a better room but that was again far too hot for this time of year and the heating in the rooms is not adjustable and there was no fan in the room so had to get one sent to up. Around ten o’clock the internet dropped out so could not watch the telly as they run off the internet only with very limited channels. Decor is very tired with wall paper hanging off in places. Don’t be seduced by the exterior as this hotel is poor and is over priced. Will definitely not be returning.

Good option for a night away although the balance of a quiet setting is you are a taxi journey away from alternative food options. Always a good standard of cleaning with big rooms that can be cold so if you like it warm take an extra layer. No modern touches like USB sockets but the ancient ironing board near a mirror and socket does serve better than some hotels for putting your hair straighteners on! Bedding not luxurious but ok and have always had a good hot and powerful shower with a detachable head which is a bonus. Requesting a room not on the main corridor is recommended to avoid noisy foot traffic at night.

As usual the hotel and staff were really good the only points that I would make were please put a diagram of heating controls somewhere in the room as the air on heating is a bit confusing, and rooms could do with a comfortable chair

Beautiful and comfortable. Enjoyed my stay here. Only feedback would be better signage or lighting to reception would be helpful as we arrived in the dark and went in the wrong door and couldn’t find reception.

We stayed at Christmas time in room 2 of the main manor house - the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. The grounds are quite simply stunning - felt like a mini Downton Abbey. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was piping hot. Water pressure in the shower was incredible. The property is a little tired, but that adds to its charm. For the price you can’t beat the experience in the area.

Get breakfast early
Having spent the day travelling we came down to breakfast at around 8:50. We got the impression that they were clearing away breakfast around us. There was no fruit salad although my wife was offered an apple instead. The juice machine is awful and despite the note regarding pushing water though the machine, the quality of the juice was almost undrinkeable. There was no decaff coffee option other than sachets of instant coffee. In this day and age it is amazing that no thought has been given to this. Even cheaper establishments that use similar coffee machines have a decaff option. I cannot believe that you cannot provide a cafetiere for customers who have to avoid caffiene. It all really detracted from what would have been a pleasant stay. Needless to say we had to make sure we were down early the next day to ensure we didn't feel rushed out.

Needs updating!
Very poor lighting in the bedroom. Extractor fan not working. Heating was poor when it was -2 and the bathroom radiator didn’t work. Generally needs updating and was apparently the ‘new wing.’ Only stayed as it was convenient for a works party. Staff were friendly on check in.

A poor experience
I have stayed at this hotel before, but this time the room was freezing, whatever I did with the air-conditioning control just made the air blow colder. There was a lot of noise, to the extent it was impossible to sleep. A very bad experience.

The room was super cold and we couldn't get it warmed. The lady at reception showed us that there was a power switch on the wall to be turned on before we could use the remote. Took a long time to warm the room. On the positive side, the lady came to help immedietly when asked. I also loved the towel warmer.

Pleasant stay
Just an overnight stay which was pleasant. Breakfast good, drinks expensive. Decor needs attention and with the lift now gone in the Manor House makes a stay in this side of the property impossible for less mobile and should be mentioned when booking. Flush in toilet terrible and pan needs a good clean. All in all I would stay again and hope management read comments and act on them.

Standing in its own grounds it was amazingly quiet with plenty of free car parking...the bedrooms were fine and for an extra £7 the full English breakfast a bargain...all around excellent value

A bit disappointing
The outside looks amazing , inside it needs some TLC. In the public corridors , wall paper peeling off , worn carpets . In the bathroom , shower screen not sealing so need to put towels down to soak up the water on the floor. No extractor fan working , so difficult to use the mirror after. No mirror above the dressing table . Scroll top wooden bed looks lovely , but constantly stubbing our toes in the protruding feet. Self service breakfast was over cooked and not hot . The fried eggs were rubbery and over cooked , the mushrooms must have had a pot of salt dropped in them .
