“Really enjoyed our night in the blue bell , lovely room and a very comfortable bed. Very nice meal in the evening and a lovely breakfast in the morning what’s not to like so when we find ourselves hiking in the area again we will definitely be looking to stay a night or two in the Blue bell”

“Un lugar muy auténtico. El apartamento es perfecto para una familia de 4. Limpio, amplio, cómodo. Dispones de lo necesario para tu estancia. El restaurante sirve comida de calidad y las raciones son enormes. Nos atendieron estupendamente. La zona es preciosa. Esta vez nuestra estancia tuvo que ser corta pero esperamos volver para disfrutar más tiempo del lugar. ”

“The cottage is next to the main road. No staying up late in bed in the mornings, the road noise woke us up from 7am. Quiet at night. The location is good, very central to explore Northumberland. Cottage well equipped, especially the kitchen. Communication was good with host. Good options for restaurants (3 within walking distance) and take aways, Coop and Budgens in the village. ”

Their hospitality, care and warmth were wonderful and their attention to detail legendary! We are already planning when we can go back!”

“We stayed for 3 nights at the White Swan. We booked at 2 days notice, and got the last room available, so I wasn’t surprised that it was quite a smallish room, but very very clean and comfortable. Breakfast - the Northumbrian - was magnificent, setting us up for a full days walking with no room or need for lunch. Then in the evening, it was a village pub, with village pub prices, friendly staff and locals happy to talk, and really great food, again at very reasonably prices. We really enjoyed...

“Beautiful room, real demonstration of how to renovate a Victorian seafront room. Spotless, comfortable, quiet, amazing sea view. Alison and her staff were super-friendly and welcoming. Lovely breakfast. A perfect base for exploring the area. Only tiny quibble is that the extractor fan in the (otherwise excellent) bathroom is very noisy. Fine as long as you remember to close the bathroom door until the fan stops! ”
