Firefly Cabin-1930`s Retreat: Bikes, BBQ, walk dtn

  • Our sweet cabin is the perfect mix of historic 1930`s charm and edgy, modern touches. Located within biking distance to downtown`s restaurants, breweries, and shops but tucked away on a beautiful wooded lot - truly the best of both worlds!! 20 minutes to Pisgah Forest,Dupont Forest, Asheville Airport, vineyards, etc.! 3 Ski Mountains within 70 minutes!

    In addition to updates, you will also enjoy extra amenities such as mountain bikes, hiking guides, yoga mats, a fire pit, a grill, etc.

    Our historic cabin is cozy and updated. We love the beautiful lot that it sits on. We spend mornings drinking coffee on the couch out front or with a glass of wine by the fire pit at night. We often grill out back and enjoy the patio there as well. It feels secluded but is still in a great community close to downtown - a great combination!

    Please note that main bedroom is upstairs (queen bed) and the one bathroom is off of this bedroom (no bathroom downstairs).

    A lockbox located at the property will have the keys that you need for your stay.

    If we are not enjoying the cabin we are probably at our home in Jacksonville, Florida. We are still always available to answer questions and provide recommendations to our guest. If an issue should arise or you need someone in person we also have our property management company available for you.

    -Please note that the bathroom is upstairs off of the bedroom
    -Main upstairs bedroom has a queen bed
    -Downstairs is a twin bed that converts to a king (just ask if you want it set up this way)
    Thanks for booking The Firefly. We don`t love `rules` but there are some things you should know:

    -The downstairs bedroom can be set up for a twin or king bed. The bedroom will be set up for a twin bed unless otherwise requested. We are more than happy to make it up for a king if that is preferred - just let us know when booking!

    -Guest should follow check-out procedures (throw away trash and leave dishes clean)

    -please acknowledge that the one bathroom is upstairs

this cabin, although it's from the 1930s has an older feel - it really reminds you of a settlers cabin. It's very comfortable and very clean. The host of wonderful and respond promptly to any questions you may have. The outside area is very private, surrounded by Rhododendron, and the patio furniture is nice! I'll definitely consider booking this place again for the fall to enjoy the colors!

Cute Cabin

The cabin was little over 1 mile from downtown which is what we were looking for. Window shopping for Christmas, eating good food and drinks was perfect. Would stay again.

Beautiful and historic cabin. Everything was thought of by the hosts. My first time here, but I will be back. Cozy atmosphere with a working fireplace. Cool loft for the primary bedroom and bath.

The Firefly was a charming cozy stay. It had all the supplies we needed. It was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. Close to town but you felt like you were out in the woods. The record player was a fun vibe. The bikes were a bonus and the Ecusta Trail was super close. We enjoyed stopping off at Southern Streams coffee shop long the trail. We hiked in DuPont Forest to 3 separate waterfalls that were stunning. Our hosts checked in on us and maintained great communication. It was an amazing trip and we’d definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Firefly Cabin. We will be back! It was the absolute coziest cutest spot, and was the icing on the cake of a beautiful weekend celebrating a dear friend's birthday. Communication with the hosts was great and we had no issues.

Beautiful cottage which had everything we could possibly need. Loved the record player and assorted albums. Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We chose Firefly because it was close to Kanuga and Rock Creek, as well as Pisgah and DuPont.

Really enjoyed the location of the cottage. It was conveniently located between Asheville, Brevard and DuPont. It was close enough to things, but still was quiet and wooded. I never stayed in Hendersonville before, but have In other areas nearby it was nice to be able to ride your bike downtown from the cottage.

Great little spot

As long as you can handle the spiral staircase for the bathroom, this is a great little cabin. The location is excellent. The cabin itself is comfy, cute, and clean. The window A/C units were able to keep the house cool enough in August.

Great hosts! Highly recommend. Thank you for having us. We loved the property and how close it is to Hendersonville, Dupont, and Pisgah. We spend a lot of time hiking and biking and this was a perfect retreat from muggy Florida! The cabin was super clean and right off the Ecusta trail. We'll definitely try to re-book with you our next visit!

So cute and cozy! This cabin is in an ideal location with the most wonderful cozy nooks throughout the property. The owners take great care having things available that you need; yoga mats, coffee maker, pods, tea, eveything you need to cook if you choose. I loved the seating area with fire pit at night to listen to the critters come alive. I will definitely stay here again. The folder with recommendations was spot on as well.

Sweet cabin!

We enjoyed our stay at Firefly Cabin. There were several issues that should be addressed before I can rate it 5 stars, namely that the bathroom door did not close which made it rather awkward with our preteen son. In addition, most of the cabinet knobs were loose or fell off in our hands as we tried to open the doors. But, this cabin was built in the 1920s and definitely had a lot of charm!
