Mountain getaway

This house is the cutest little farm house. The kids enjoyed staying here and seeing the animals. There’s lot of kids toys, pack n play, high hair, etc. This is the perfect house for a family with young children. We enjoyed watching the variety of movies and playing games with the family. We will be back!

Birthday Weekend Getaway

My family and I loved this house! It was clean, the location is great, and the farm animals are adorable. If we are in the Hendersonville area again, we will definitely put it at the top of our list to stay there again.

Greta farmhouse!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The house is plenty big enough and very accommodating. It was clean and we had a relaxing stay. The communication was above and beyond and the owners are very nice people. I recommend this house 100%!

Very Accommodating

Great home for small children. They provided lots of toys, a pack n play, stroller and even a bed rail for my toddler who alligator rolls throughout the night!

Home on the Range

This property was as advertised. Communication with the owners was excellent. Check-in was a breeze. We found our home clean and stocked better than most. The animals were delightful and the farm setting peaceful. The central HVAC unit worked well. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable. Pet friendly was truly appreciated. We found the price point of this home appropriate and affordable. We would rent again if in the Hendersonville/Lake Lure area.

Family of four

We had a wonderful time! Great location, very clean, easy check-in and check-out process. Loved the black out curtains. Haha, you don’t realize how important those are till you have kids. We also got to enjoy the farm and our kids pet and fed all the cute animals. Fantastic and unique view to wake up to. We will stay there again in a heartbeat!

Great stay on the farm!

We had a great stay. Accommodated my family of 10 very well. Minnie, the dog greeted us almost every day! Very sweet! We visited family, went hiking, and snowboarding! The kids had a blast! All within a short drive. Would love to do it again!!

Perfect family togetherness spot!

The property was clean and well-stocked, the host accomodating, and the description accurate. Can't believe we were able to do so much close by and have the option to come "home" and re-group so easily. So happy with our exerpeince!

Fall Fun

Many thanks to Jonathon and Tonya!! Our weekend stay with some family friends was so peaceful. The house generously accommodated two families (six kids ages 3-10) and four adults. The animals were such a fun addition, and there were many inside and outside games and toys to occupy our time. We didn’t really want to leave the house to explore the area for too long because it was so beautiful right there on the property. We felt like we had everything we needed. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!! Many blessings!!!

Home away from home

If you are looking for a home away from home feel this is your place. The owner was very quick to respond and answer any questions for us. The location is great and close to downtown Hendersonville and a ton of other activities. The place is very kid-friendly and provides toys and other items for your infant to your younger kids. The animals are a great bonus and once a day you have the opportunity to help feed the animals. When we are back in town we will be booking again and we already can't wait to come back.

Great farm getaway

We have a friend that lives in Hendersonville, so this was the perfect getaway for us to see them, watch some football, and enjoy the mountains and all the animals all while being 25 minutes from the Apple festival! Great place and Johnathan was so hospitable!

Enjoyed our stay in the mountains

Myself, husband and our children ages 12, 9, 7, 4, and 1 1/2 stayed for the week. We enjoyed feeding the animals each evening and went to Lake Lure beach, Chimney Rock, Asheville, and hiking during the day (all within an easy drive). We had plenty of space for our family and some space for the kids to play outside.

Indescribably Fantastic ☆☆☆☆☆

Very spacious ranch design farmhouse. Not sure where to start... The Farmhouse Retreat name fits, but we have a small hobby farm, so it was like home away from home... "HOWEVER", Having an Emu watch as we unloaded our gear, getting several visits from a Beautiful Ostrich that wanted to play with the football, the donkeys introducing their presence, to meeting the cat, (not usually my favorite pets), that absolutely won us over and is now dubbed, "Coolest Kitty Ever". It could've have been more fantastic. I spent 10 years as a Property Manager with Starwood and Marriott branded hotels in Charlotte. Le Meridien & Sheraton Charlotte Uptown ☆☆☆☆☆'s compared to branded hotels. Very well equipped kitchen, very comfortable, not commercial furnishings, fantastic firepit, nice deck with qualty gas grill, paved access and parking, board games, too much to list. Highly Recommend for families, friends, fishing trip retreats, etc. We are already planning a return trip.

Family Fun

We enjoyed our stay at FarmHouse Retreat! Jonathan was prompt anytime I emailed him! My brother talked to him and found him to be quiet friendly. The house was exceptionally clean. The beds were all very comfortable! Our cell phones worked at the house (ATT) and the Wi-Fi was awesome! We enjoyed watching the animals! Thanks for a great time!!

Mountain getaway

Had such a great time at the farmhouse! We had three kids ages 6,6 and 5 with us and they loved feeding the animals and getting to pet them everyday. Thought I wasn’t going to like not having a tv in the room but it was actually kind of pleasant. Fire pit was really nice. Loved that wood was provided. I will say kitchen could’ve used a few more things as far as Pyrex and some mixing bowls. Other than that it was perfect! Would definitely stay again!

Kids loved meeting the animals. Peacocks we’re so friendly. Had a fire with s’mores. Cute space in a beautiful location. Good Wi-Fi but no cell service. Download maps!

Great place out off the beaten path but still close to civilization

We loved being able to wake up and see the livestock out the front window. The owners were very communicative and gave us direct contact numbers Incase we needed anything during our stay.

lovely place to stay in the fall!

The farmhouse was great, and there were so many cute animals right outside the front door. The driveway was marked well so we couldn't miss it. They had toiletries in case you forgot something, which was great because it's a ways to a store. The kitchen had everything we needed. And the fall leaves and frosty mornings were charming and lovely.
