“On entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really can’t fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. We had the family room as it was the last one left for us to book & was a great size room. 10/10 ”

“Lovely clean fresh room. Everything you need for a stay, there was fresh milk, juice, bread,butter., jam in the fridge ready for breakfast. Toaster and microwave in the room too. Plus tea and coffee ”

“Found a room on the Hotels.com app but stopped by the hotel to check it out before booking. The front desk initially said no rooms were available, despite the app showing otherwise. After some persistence and a 10–15 minute discussion involving another staff member, I was shown a room I liked. Due to system issues, I was told to book through the app. I did so, paid, and received confirmation, which the clerk also saw—but they still couldn’t assign the room due to aforementioned system issue. “Very friendly staff. The surrounding is very quiet and beautiful. Just 8-10 minutes from the Durham town centtre by a cab. Breakfast is good! it’s an old property, but very well maintained. What stands out is the service. Every staff you meet are friendly. The hotel really seem to love their guests. ”
