Overall, a good value and friendly staff. However, the Expedia website and Best Western website referenced electric vehicle charging, which does not exist (and never did per the hotel staff). There are charging options just 10 minutes away, but it would have been more convenient to charge overnight than to charge 25 minutes at the local Tesla Supercharger.

I am sorry that you were misled regarding an electric vehicle charging station. However I now know there are several behind the Hampton Inn in the Metro Center parking lot that are for guests use from all of the Lail properties. It was the first time in north carolina staying at the best western in hickory nc but lady who does night audit gave us a ground room around back since we had my service dog with us for. She made sure to give me the tolitery i asked for since it was too late to go shopping for the things i needed plus we were low on funds. Husband and i slept like a baby in the big king bed and the shower in the morning before work was perfect nice and warm and strong water pressure

I'm very sorry this happened but it is not thru any fault of the hotel. According to our guest, this could have happened anywhere. He said the door was jimmied and the truck was hotwired. And yes, you are correct. We do not have camera footage in the parking lot. Thank you!

My stay was fine, but the breakfast was terrible. The small serving area was overrun with little kids and their families staying there for a soccer tournament. somehow, I picked up COVID, so my aftermath wasn't great. Otherwise, everything was clean and just fine. It was odd to not have a sidewalk to get from the room to the breakfast area in the front lobby...

Comfortable enough for a one night stay
Clean, but outdated. Outside corridors. Good breakfast. We just stayed one night, passing through. Comfortable enough for an overnight. But, probably not worth what we paid compared to other nearby hotels.

Good, but . . .
Good location for us near the convention hall room was good but the HVAC unit was very loud and we had to shut it down so we could sleep. The bathroom was so small the door missed hitting the toilet by a millimeter.

The breakfast area was nice and inviting but the tables weren't cleaned. The food options were pretty good except for the eggs. The egg omelets were tough and rubbery, as if made from a powder or imitation. The room was a little run down. It is close to shopping and the lobby area is nice. You can hear some noise from the freeway.

The door to room would not open due to a malfunctioning electronic lock. The hotel was sold out of the type of room I had reserved. Only smoking room were available. I had to seek lodging elsewhere.

The rug and bathroom floors were not clean. No elevator. Had to carry luggage to the second floor. Bathroom so small that the door almost hit the toilet when you closed it. Overall, not a good experience. Their lobby and dining area were the nicest areas in the entire hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.

I apologize once again that you were not happy with the room accomodations. As I explained to you earlier, our handicap rooms have one (1) full size bed and there were multiple guests in your room. You booked thru a third party and asked for a 1st floor room with two (2) beds and that is what they booked for you. You also booked an interior room and the only thing we had on 1st floor was the room you were given. I'm sorry the remainder of the hall was under renovation but we honestly did try to meet your needs. Thank you and have a good day!
