“Restaurants very close. We walked. Room is great for 2 people. 2 kids could sleep on the pullout couch. Appreciated the smart tv. There is a hair dryer . No laundry. Base camp is a good name for it. A place to flop after a day outside. Nice mattress. Beautiful murals on doors. I felt safe as it was right next to a bank and I noticed a police car in adjacent parking lot. ”

The location couldn’t have been better, right on the main street in Custer, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and the grocery store directly across the street. “This was a big, converted suite - plenty of room for luggage. The kitchen bedroom and bathroom were normal sized, but the living room was oversized. It was nice to have space . Very convenient for food and mt Rushmore to the south.”
