Located 14 miles west of Hill City in the heart of the hills surrounded on 2 sides by Forest Service land. Enjoy a seasonal creek that runs throughout the 10 acres. Just minutes from ATV/UTV trails, mt. bike trail, hiking and Deerfield Lake. Bring your kayaks or paddle boards Deerfield Lake is one of the only no wake lakes in the area.
It’s a one level fully furnished spacious 2800 square foot home, includes 3 bedrooms, game room, and great room. (Game room and great room have sofa sleepers.) Game room includes pool, air hockey and foosball along with board games.
Relax and enjoy yourself on the two covered decks or the hot tub. Wildlife frequently visits the property. Plenty of outdoor cooking space on a gas grill and 36" Blackstone.
No need to find firewood included in your stay is a propane firepit.
Enjoy access to our animals-mini donkey, goats, cats and chickens. While visiting feel free to share treats with them.
WIFI located throughout the house.
Attached is a garage to house any prized possessions you may bring along.
Located 27 miles from both Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorials.

Too tired to cook Mt. Meadow Resort is located adjacent with a full food menu and limited bar. The resort also has available gas, camp store, also kayak rentals.
We created a home that we enjoy and are now ready for others to enjoy it.

Connie and Jeff were amazing to work with. The first night Connie explained how to work with the animals and introduced us to them. The baby goats were a family favorite! Connie and Jeff always checked in with us and even chatted with some of us for a while. They have such a great property! We will be back!

This is an amazing property that our whole family really enjoyed. The location is quiet and beautiful. Perfect as a launching off point for adventures and day trips in the area. Home has wonderful amenities - excellent wifi, comfy beds and lounging areas, full kitchen plus Blackstone and grill and plenty of space for outdoor and indoor dining, with all kinds of fun extras - game room, yard games, fireplace, hot tub, binoculars for bird and wildlife viewing. Bonus was the nearby barnyard animals which provided fresh eggs and regular entertainment. Host is absolutely wonderful with suggestions and support. You won't regret planning a stay in this amazing property.

The owners of this property are, in my opinion, two of the kindest people you can ever meet. Our 3 generation family vacation (total of 6 people) was one of, if not the best to date, vacation we have had, and it directly relates to the amazing property and owners of the property. The house and location were fantastic. The amenities, superb. Most of our trip was spent UTV riding, and it was a perfect location for us. The owners even led us out on one of their favorite loops to Flag Mountain, and was very much worth it. Our kids (9 & 7) fell in love with the animals on the property, and they loved being able to pitch in with chores. That alone made the stay worth it, everything else was icing on the cake. 10 out of 10 would recommend this property for any family.

It was a great place to stay to make many family memories. We were able to go out early in the day and explore the Black Hills area and return later and enjoy the peaceful acreage. The deer roaming the area were fun to watch and my grand children really enjoyed the farm animals. We also spent time in the game room with some intense family competition. Relaxing in the hot tub was very nice too. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area! Loved it! Thank you Connie and Jeff for having us!

Can not overstate how positive the experience was for 8 fifty year old bike riders. Along with plenty of room in the cabin, Connie was very accommodating for the entire trip. The cabin can easily entertain all ages from children to adults.

We stayed at this wonderful home with our family of 5 and another family of 4. It could not have been a better place for all involved. The kids loved the farm animals (the adults did too), the gold run stream, the hot tub and the game room. The adults loved the quietness and beauty of the location, the hot tub, the Blackstone (!!!), and seeing the kids enjoy themselves playing around the property. Connie and Jeff are great hosts!

The home was absolutely beautiful. We took advantage of the deck at night and enjoyed the deer coming right up to the house. The location was perfect for easily accessing the trails and lake. We enjoyed visiting with the owners of the property. They gave us great information regarding scenic trails. We also enjoyed the barn and the animals. We can't wait to go back. Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed.

This property was the perfect getaway for our South Dakota vacation. We went to Mt Rushmore, hiked on trails along the Needles Highway, did exploring and Jeeping in and around the trails in the Black Hills and when we returned to the house it was always so accommodating and equipped for us to do whatever we needed to do to complete our day and get ready for the next day, including relaxing in the awesome hot tub!! We also loved the game room and the open areas in the house including the TV and recliners in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for preparing meals. We also loved the chickens, goats, kitties and Eeyore the donkey! The next time we come to South Dakota we will definitely return to this excellent house!!!

The property was just as described in the listing. The house was clean, orderly, not overcrowded and had great amenities. The location was quiet & peaceful and we really enjoyed the small farm animals. Yard games, hot tub, Blackstone grill etc. We brought bikes, kayaks and fishing gear and had a great time. From the get go Connie was AMAZING! As soon as we parked we were greeted with a friendly smile and a tour of the animals. Connie made us feel like family and her property and animals were perfect for our kids. They loved gathering eggs everyday and checking on all the animals! Connie was a wealth of knowledge and suggested incredible fun family outings that weren’t advertised! House was incredible and that porch is perfect for morning coffee! So peaceful. Highly recommended or not ;) that way it wouldn’t be booked for our return trip!

This was our first stay at Connie’s cabin, and we absolutely loved it! She was so helpful with answering questions before we arrived, and she was available if we needed anything during our stay. The location is perfect for riding UTV trails and hitting up all of the other Black Hills attractions. Hope to stay again someday!

We stayed for 4 days (4 adults & 4 teenagers) The property was amazing. Super clean, well organized and Connie is “right there” to help you if you have any questions. Our kids loved the game room and it gave them a great spot to unwind when we got back from exploring. We made breakfast every morning on the black-stone and enjoyed the hot tub every evening. If i could give any advice to other traveler’s, for those coming through Hill City- STOP and get groceries before check in. The house is 30 minutes from Hill City, which is perfect, unless your hungry.

The entire trip was relaxing . No pressure . No worries. Just fun hikes and kayaking/paddle boarding , adventures to surrounding monuments and area. Beautiful …weather was cool ( a bit rainy) but nice. Everything was great! Hosts were amazing …would highly recommend!
