Spaziosa e storica casa w / ampie camere da letto - famiglie

Tenuta storica splendidamente arredata degli anni '30 in prossimità di spiagge, giardini botanici, cascate Akaka e tutto ciò che HiloTown ha da offrire! Cammina fino al fiume Wailuku e al lungomare di Hilo in pochi minuti da casa nostra. Da notare anche il rinnovo della nuova cucina a partire da luglio 2019!

Anche se a pochi passi dalla città di Hilo, il nostro quartiere diverso e unico, Wainaku, ha un'atmosfera rurale, con molte case storiche; è anche silenzioso e molto privato.

Dato che siamo sul magnifico fiume Wailuku, la nostra proprietà ha sempre una meravigliosa brezza, e ci sono un certo numero di meravigliose specie di uccelli che rendono la nostra proprietà la loro casa.

Anche da notare: entrambi i vicini adiacenti sono su pacchi di 1 acro, il che rende la nostra casa molto tranquilla.

Goditi i letti New King e Queen Serta, le lenzuola belghe e gli asciugamani di cotone felpati. Ulteriori articoli da bagno includono shampoo organico e lozione per il corpo inodore di Aveeno, tamponi di cotone e batuffoli di cotone.

Anche se siamo sul fiume Wailuku con meravigliose brezze, la casa è anche rinfrescata con un ventilatore di tutta la casa, e ogni camera ha anche un ventilatore a soffitto.

Beautiful house and garden

This historic home is really beautiful and the garden is gorgeous. The house was immaculate yet full of character and charm, decorated perfectly and full of fresh flowers upon our arrival. Spacious with lots of different places to hang out. Beds very comfortable, everything you could want was provided and Kevin was very helpful. The garden is lovely and private feeling. Location is just outside Hilo’s downtown and is easily walked. A perfect home base for the area, though I wish we had been able to just spend more time in the house because it was so nice. Would definitely return here.

Excellent Property

My family thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful stay at this authentic property. The spacious house was well appointed and had such a Hilo feel. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, it was close to downtown, and perfect for our stay during our visit for a family reunion. Will definitely consider for future stays. Slice of Hawaiian Paradise

My family stayed here for a week beginning on Thanksgiving day and we thoroughly enjoyed the property. Even though it was on a residential street, we felt it was secluded and private. The house could not be more perfect and the kitchen had everything needed for our stay, including a screened in outdoor space and bbq grill. We all raved about how great we slept each night with the windows open, listening to the hum of the birds and frogs outside. We definitely want to stay here on our next trip to Hilo!

Property is as-described/pictured. Very comfortable and conveniently located right by the historic downtown area. No AC but comfortable with windows up and fans on. Wish the TV were in the living room but we didn’t watch much anyway. We would stay here again.

Do not stay here if you want to get a good night sleep, it is very noisy with the birds basically screaming in your ears all night long (imagine a scene from Predator). The house is also very old and has a very bad smell that is like old house/urine smell in all bedrooms which kept me up all night. There are no blinds on the windows, just sheer curtains so the light from torches is shining in your face. The bathroom in the basement is very strange too, we were scared to go in there. No one in our family was able to fall asleep there so we left after one night. Not sure where the great reviews are coming from, but if you are used to modern comforts, then go elsewhere.

Hilo Getaway

Wonderful property. Three spacious bedrooms, with plenty of closet space. Two bathrooms with all the amenities. The basement bathroom, in particular, can function almost like a sauna after a day of exploring. Well stocked kitchen. My brother and his partner made an excellent meal - macadamia nut encrusted ono - without any trouble at all. Aesthetically, this property cannot be beat. Plantation era architecture, with hardwood floors and tons of built-ins, adorned with artifacts collected by the owners. And the grounds are amazing. Lush tropical plants in every corner. We spent several mornings sitting under the small garden gazebo listening to birds and watching the local fauna, including wild pigs and a mongoose. Also, there is a wonderful veranda to while away the evenings. Finally, this is a great lication for walking dowtown. The Friday Night Market and Saturday Farmer's Market market are within 15 minutes, as are countless restaurants. A few restaurants necessitate a drive (I recommend Kenichi's) but for the most part you won't need your car to eat or shop. If you twant your rental property to be more than just the place where you hang your hat, this is the place for you. Now for two hints: 1. Have bug spray. The house is well screened, but there are mosquitos in the garden, and you will want to enjoy it. 2. There is adequate snorkeling gear for a brief excursion to the beach. But if you want to make snorkeling a major part your trip, rent some from Hilo Ocean Adventures.

Peaceful island retreat

My family and I had a wonderful stay in this house. It was well-equipped with everything we needed for a weeklong stay in the Hilo area. We particularly appreciated the cooler, snorkel gear, and well-stocked kitchen. The lack of air conditioning was not a problem at all, as the whole-house fan and additional fans that were delivered during our stay helped keep the house very comfortable. Kevin was a wonderful host and very responsive. We would definitely recommend this house!

Comfortable Home Base

Quiet neighborhood, great home base convenient for walking into town or for exploring further afield. Extra touches of flowers, coffee, etc. were especially appreciated. We also enjoyed the eclectic collection of interesting objects/ art throughout the house. Impressive backyard lychee tree and associated wildlife!

Great stay for Big Island Marathon

My family and I came to Hilo so I could run the Big Island International (1/2) Marathon. The house was a quick drive to the start/finish. We loved being able to walk downtown (past a beautiful waterfall), especially since parking can sometimes be hard to find. We also loved having so much space to spread out, the peaceful setting, the juicy tangerines from the front yard, the screened in lanai, nice easy parking, great laundry/drying facilities, and a big well-stocked kitchen - we ate most of our meals at the house. Based on a few past reviews we weren’t sure about the downstairs shower but everyone actually preferred it! Kevin was very quick to respond and very helpful. We especially appreciated being able to leave our luggage for several hours after we checked out. This is a great house/yard/location and we’d love to return.

Peaceful and relaxing

The home is very clean and very comfortable! The antique furniture is beautiful. The property is beautifully landscaped with amazing flowering plants and fruit trees. The owner was very attentive and left a bowl of tangerines and starfruit from his yard out for us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Relaxing Hilo Home

This was my families second stay in this beautiful Hilo home. I used to live in Hilo and this is my go to house when I come back to visit. The house is beautifully decorated and is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen of any vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in. They went well beyond the basic necessities, which I appreciate. The yard is gorgeously landscaped and even has a distant view of the ocean from the back porch (new since our last stay). If I ever had the chance to buy this house I would seriously contemplate it. I absolutely love it! It’s classic Hilo. Also of note is that it’s located within walking distance to downtown but feels like your nowhere near town. Quiet neighborhood.
