Please read all reviews AND the owners responses before booking this home. The location was nice, beaches, the bike trails, the food...everything was enjoyable. The owner was not pleasant at all. The home wasn’t cleaned before our arrival. If I could post pictures I would. Cobwebs, garbage left not taken out of the home. If you give this property 5 stars, the owner is nice to you. If you find anything wrong or something that could be better, she gets very angry and nasty with you. I told her the tub was clogged and she told me “all 5 of you decided to take jointly showers in the tub”...?!? Unbelievable response for a host. There are only 2 bedrooms here. And a den with a pull out sofa that you have to use plywood for in the closet or else you will sink in the middle of this mattress. Very uncomfortable. The lazy river is not what you see in this picture, she used a picture from another place for this. There is a tv in the den, so when it gets dark and you want to relax in the evening, the whole family can’t really watch tv together. Or else they have to pile up on sleeper couch. There was food left in the fridge, I’m not talking about condiments, I’m talking about cut up lemons and tortillas and expired canned food in the pantry from 3 years ago. Also owner has millions of notes left EVERYWHERE what to do what not to do, here is this, don’t touch that, it’s like talking to a toddler. There’s also “face cream” in the bathroom which she asks you to use to take off your make up before going to bed on her sheets. During covid especially people are supposed to use this on their face 🤢 Again, the location and Hilton Head Island was very nice. But I wouldn’t stay here again if it was for free. Please read her other responses before booking with her, she responds in an unprofessional nasty manner. (Just because other people liked the house/owner, doesn’t mean I had the same great experience. That’s what reviews are for).
