Hotel vicino a Hoedown Island - Slade

“The cottage was a several minute drive from the lodge. 3 flights of stairs to reach the cottage. We are in our 70's with luggage - didn't really work out for us and had to cancel our second night. The cottage was in need of updating and repair. Smelled !! No screens on the windows, blinds were missing pieces and generally inoperable. Mattresses were old. Furnishing were old. Would not recommend staying there. Front desk staff refunded our second night easily.”

“Property and room were very rustic. Second story balcony/walkway needed to be cleaned, there was a lot of cigarette ash on the balcony. Room needs to have some type of shelving below the TV. Parking area also needs to have more lighting. It is a diamond in the rough, we enjoyed our stay.”

“Plum crazy was BEAUTIFUL! It was impeccably clean. It smelled good as soon as you walked in the door. The linens smelled freshly washed. Inside the drawers were clean (no food crumbs). And the decor inside the house was so cute. From the chair hanging on the wall, the watering can shower head to the mouse house in the wall. Everything was spotless and beautiful. And the hot tub was located on a beautiful deck and it was well kept and so clean. The only criticism I have is that the yard needed...

“Stay was okay. Building was clean and everything worked well. Location was much further from red river gorge than expected, about 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes one way to a trail. Bed was very hard. Hot tub was nice. Overall, decent if you dont mind the sleeping conditions and the drive but for us it wasnt worth the cost ”
