La struttura in sé è davvero bella, ma le camere Economy (appendice dell' edificio principale)hanno un prezzo troppo elevato per la qualità della stanza e del bagno ( 260€ a notte per una camera doppia).Nota di merito per il personale molto cordiale, abbiamo avuto a che fare in particolare con un gentilissimo ragazzo italiano.

Moderno e pulito
Costruzione recente, stile nordico, molto pulito. La posizione è stupenda, con un panorama meraviglioso. Il ristorante ha prezzi accettabili, raro in Islanda. Consigliatissimo.

The setting is ideal, it's such a great place to escape. The bar/lounge area is the best place to enjoy sunset with a cocktail (happy hour is 6-7 every day). The breakfast was great, the dinner was shockingly delicious. The room could use an update (our bench was broken but we didn't care enough to say anything about it while we were there so that's on us) but also has everything you need. Would stay here again!

A nice place to see the aurora, and the accommodation is excellent with a tub for bathing. The only downside is that the lights on the bathtub keep flashing, so I had to turn them off.

Loved the "remote" location and view of the glacier. Staff was wonderful. Great stop along the Ring Road at a good stopping point if you're starting a drive from Akureyri.

Excellent!
Amazing hotel! The setting is excellent overlooking the glaciers, and the restaurant/bar area have a nice feel to them. Food was good also and staff were very helpful

We stayed one night. The property was clearly given a superficial update: the lobby, facade, dining area, but everything beyond that was very dated and worn out. The brown carpet in the hallways was very worn, the room and bathroom finishes were outdated and not in the best of shape. If you are a side sleeper I might skip this hotel as the beds are incredibly firm. The shower in our room did not drain and the walls were paper thin, everything downstairs and the room next door could be heard. Breakfast was good. The only appeal of this property is the view from the dining room.

We had a good stay here. The matress was quite firm - nothing for me personally but nothing which made the stay bad in any way. The staff is nice and always helpful. Checkin was easy and quick. The bathroom is quite „old“ did not expect that kind of design when I saw the rest of the hotel which is quite luxury and new. Over all a great hotel to stay in.

The front desk lied to me about a payment saying I would not be charged. But I did get charged double the amount . I would not trust this hotel chain. Also rooms were very hot with no air conditioning. And only a tiny window to open .I was very disappointed in my stay here. Look elsewhere

This is a hotel just off the ring road a little distance away from Höfn, the hotel itself was nice in a quiet location and a good place as a stopover. Rooms were spacious and comfortable … although very expensive for one night with no breakfast included

The Fosshotel Vatnajokull is a nice property with spacious rooms which includes amenities in the rooms ( lotion, makeup remover, facial tissues, sewing kit, shower cap, plenty of scrumptious teas). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was happy to be there two nights. The restaurant served delicious food.

Lorenzo is a rock star. Thanks for everything. Just reach out to him if you need any guidance during your stay in the area. The hotel is only 10 min from Hofn. Surrounded by amazing views, you can even see the glaciers from your room. Rooms are very confortable and super clean

Great breakfast included, clean and comfortable room. Did get quite warm but it was manageable. Beautiful surrounding scenery, about a 10 min drive into town. Staff was incredible helpful, went over and above and were super pleasant.

This has to be the worst hotel in all of Iceland. The only one I have come across without blackout shades. I should've taken photos. Window curtains were installed 8 inches away from the window frame and brackets too close to the window edge so alas when you attempted to close them, the room was still fully bright. Such a shame. And completely ridiculous. After spending 400 plus I shouldn't have to wear an eye mask. I won't be recommending this property to anyone.
