Petrified Forest Stay
Older-style home filled with charm, lots of toys for the granddaughter to play with. Owners provided lots of thoughtful touches to make our visit a nice one. Only one bathroom was difficult for five of us.

Bird nest
Exactly as advertised. Only problem was NOT the property owners. Our rental car mapping was accurate on our 2,100 mile trek EXCEPT for this address. We entered it as advertised, which was correct, complete with the “west” designator. It brought us to the wrong house-by a bunch! We eventually found it. So beware your GPS!

Petrified Forest National Park Stay
Our two nights stay at this B&B was the perfect place for our visit to the Petrified Forest National Park. Cynthia was a great host with her provided breakfast items and home amenities. Would not hesitate to stay again when traveling through on I40.

Best place to stay near the Petrified Forest
This is my second stay here in the Bird Nest. It is very quaint, comfortable, immaculate and Cynthia goes out of her way to think of everything you would need. I would and will stay there again. I just love the Petrified Forest.

Very comfortable and highly recommended
The photos really do not do Cynthia’s house justice. It was much larger than expected and had a very homely feel to it. We were ahead of schedule and Cynthia very kindly allowed us to check in early. We met her soon afterwards and it is clear she cares about her guest’s comfort. She had left us plenty of breakfast food and other essentials. We were very comfortable throughout our stay and would highly recommend Cynthia’s house for a stop over in Holbrook.

Quiet respite near petrified rocks & painted desert

Bird Nest Fabulous Stay
More than just as advertised. The Bird Nest was spotless and so cosy and comfortable. Didn’t miss a full kitchen at all. Fridge, toaster snd microwave were all we needed. There is a grill that we didn’t use but could of. Cindy and her husband were so kind. Close to the Petrified Forest where we had a great time.

See the Petrified Forest!
We stayed in Holbrook to see Petrified Forest National Park. Our host made sure that we had all we needed, and indeed we were well taken care of! Even while lacking a full kitchen, we were able to eat well with lots of extras supplied by the host.

Charming, roomy accommodation in great neighborhood
Very comfortable and spacious. Great outdoor space in a very nice neighborhood. Quiet and peaceful (you would hardly know anyone was upstairs) and the train/interstate traffic that is Holbrook is not noticeable at all. Wonderful decor -- enjoyed looking at all the arts and crafts in the commodious house.

Amazing welcoming home!
We stayed here with our family to visit the Petrified Forest National Park. We had a lovely warm welcome worm the owner. The accommodation was clean and homely with great amenities. Whilst there isn’t a full kitchen, there is coffee and breakfast options provided by the host which was fantastic. Definitely highly recommend!

Fabulous Getaway near Petrified Forest National Park
This was a wonderful home away from home. We were visiting Petrified Forest National Park and this fabulous property was very close to the park. Cynthia was great about communications before and during our stay. She provided bagels, cream cheese, bread, peanut butter and jelly for our breakfast. The accommodations were very comfortable and we would highly recommend staying at this Birds Nest property. Thank you for the wonderful adventure Cynthia!

Amazing!
We had a short two night stay on our way to Flagstaff using The Birds Nest as a resting point. It was a wonderful place to stop and enjoy Holbrook, the petrified forest / painted desert. Our host was incredible and made us feel at home. There was amazing communication, lots of extras, and a great assortment of information pertaining to local activities and interesting facts. You would never have known that this was a basement apartment. There was beautiful landscaping that led to a private entrance and a lovely patio. This would be our first choice if we headed this way again.

Spectacular Stay
Out stay at the Bird's Nest exceeded all expectations. The details and touches amazed us and we just kept finding new ones. We played basketball, pool and the piano. What fun it was.

Very Comfortable Home!
The beds and furniture were all very comfortable! It was a home away from home! Owners are very helpful and communicative. My daughters enjoyed the pool table! Petrified Forest was well worth the visit. I don't have any complaints!

Great location for Petrified Forest visits.
This is our 3rd stay at this property in the last 3 years. We like to hike at Petrified Forest National Park which is only about 20 minutes away. Cindy is a gracious host and very responsive.

Great little place with a lot of space!
This was such a cute space! We were just spending the night during a road trip and the space was perfect. It is the bottom floor of a house, but has it's own entrance and yard. There's no kitchen but the space includes a coffee maker, toaster, and mini-fridge (with some breakfast fixins included!) which was more than enough. Great spot- no compaints.

Best place to stay in Holbrook!
Everything was as described in the posting and more. Although there's not a full kitchen we were very happy to find coffee, milk, and other breakfast items which we enjoyed outside on the patio. Comfortable beds and sitting area. Plenty of games, DVDs, etc for families to enjoy and entertain their children. Very pleasant outdoor patio good for relaxing, bird watching, and star gazing. Highly recommended.

Astonishing Service
This property overlooks Holbrook in the cutest and most beautiful way. Before our arrival, I had asked Cynthia if it was possible to make a little fire for some smores as my wife loves s'mores and she replied back within minutes saying yes we can work something out. Little did I know she went out and bought a fire pit for us and wood and everything.. the icing on the cake.. she got a couple skewers for our marshmallows. Talk about grade AAA+++ service. She messaged us shortly after arriving and asked if we had any questions or if there were any concerns and was just very very nice at making us feel welcomed. You don't even get this good of service at hotels. Thanks Cynthia! We look forward to coming back again! Blake

Great place to stay for PEFO visits
Holbrook is the closest town to the Petrified Forest National Park, and the Bird's Nest is a great place to stay for an extended visit to the Park. PEFO has great wilderness hiking and much to offer for the amateur geologist, paleontologist, anthropologist, and historian. Historic Route 66 runs through Holbrook and the park as well. The Bird's Nest is far better than staying in a hotel with 3 bedrooms and plenty of space. Cooking facilities are limited to a microwave, a toaster, and a gas grilll outside, This isn't really a problem as long as you plan for easy meals inside, or utilize one of the restaurants in Holbrook. This was a repeat stay for us and we would choose the Bird's Nest as our preferred location on future Holbrook visits.

Perfect in every way!
This was the perfect location for base camp to Petrified Forest Nation Park. It was so comfortable and clean. The space was large and outdoor patio was enjoyable. Why stay in a hotel when you have this gem right in town! Loved our stay!
