Disappointing
Initially pleased with the location and the condo. Unfortunately, this was very short-lived. We had ordered and paid for extra linens which were not provided until late in the week. Also, no broom or vacuum so no way to clean the floors until later in the week as well. The linens that did come in day of arrival were not there until approximately 8-8:30 pm, after bedtime for the kids. Water pressure was very suboptimal, in one bathroom literally a trickle in the shower. The room for the children had electrical outlets with no covers and loose wires along the floors. The AC in the top floor was also unacceptable. The family members who slept in the upstairs bedroom had 3 full size fans running to try to cool for sleeping, one that they brought and 2 additional that had to be purchased.
Most concerning was the
Lack of cleanliness. Sand from prior visitors on bathroom and kitchen surfaces, items appeared to be cleaned around and not under. Clear evidence of a long haired dog on a recent visit, large amounts of which were swept up by us once we received a broom. Also evidence of dogs and dog hair in outside balconies. This is listed as a pet free unit. All family members experienced respiratory issues during our stay at which time mold was noted growing on the air registers/vents in the condo, especially on the top floor. This is indicative of mold throughout the entire HVAC system. Money then had to be spent on medications for the entire family, one of whom has severe asthma. Fortunately that family member was prepared with extra “just in case” prescription meds.
Finally, there are many soft spots in the wooden decking on both oceanfront and rear decks. We felt they were unsafe.
In closing, we would not stay at this unit again.
