A light blue exterior, multi-level home with several covered balconies and surrounded by tropical landscaping Island Retreat is exactly what its name suggests – a beautiful island getaway perfect for a tropical, sunny, and smile-filled vacation. When you arrive at Island Retreat, you’ll notice the vibrant colors of the home and the greenery that surrounds its perimeter. Just a few minutes’ walk to Holmes Beach, you’ll smell the fresh ocean air and feel the sea breeze on your skin. Though you will walk into Island Retreat through the ground floor, the main living space is on the second level. This area is bright as it is filled with natural sunlight from its several windows, updated with luxury-style features, and beautifully decorated throughout. There are two primary suites in this rental, one on the main level and the second on the upper level. Both rooms are very spacious and feature king-sized beds, private balconies, flat-screen TVs, and en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is massive and features sweeping granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, tons of storage space, and a kitchen island with a bar for three. The dining room is just beyond the kitchen and offers a bar-height table with eight chairs. The living room, adjacent to the dining room, is cozy and has a couch, matching loveseat, two leather armchairs, and a large flat-screen TV. Access to this floor’s balcony is in the dining space through a set of French doors. It’s a spacious balcony with views of the backyard and stairs that take you to the ground floor. The first floor and backyard are what makes Island Retreat truly wonderful. First, there is a game room with a ping pong table that guests can use on the ground floor. Second, just outside there is a tiki bar area with a kitchenette and seating for five as well as two full-sized outdoor dining sets and a grill. Additionally, the private, heated pool is roomy and offers in-water seating and an in-water sundeck. Finally, there are several lounge chairs on the paved deck surrounding the pool and the backyard has an array of beautiful plants that really make you feel like you are living the island’s life! Island Retreat is conveniently located near the northernmost end of Anna Maria Island. It’s just a few minutes' walk to Holmes Beach and the Gulf of Mexico, close to tons of local shops and eateries, and near a drawbridge that takes you onto the mainland. Beautiful house with great amenities. Short walk to beach and free trolley to get around the island if you don’t like driving. Nice pool to lounge in after a hot day at the beach.

Beautiful home! Perfect for our family & great location

Enjoyed our stay here. It was a beautiful clean home that was just the right size for our group. Quick walk to the beach that was never super crowded like other parts of the beach. and the pool was wonderful!

Perfect beach house!

We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more at this beautiful home in Holmes Beach! We had a total of 6 people with small children and it was perfect! The location was PERFECT as well. The beach and the best coffee shops are within walking distance. We will be back in a heart beat! We had the best time exploring Anna Maria Island!

Access to beach was great. Had cart and umbrellas there. Somethings needed cleaned better and updated. Some small repairs. Upstairs railing wasn’t connected. Toilet seats were very old and chipping. Some beach chairs in back were broken and rusting away.

House is nice but appliances very dated and nonfunctional.

The house itself was clean and just as advertised. The appliances however, were dated. The washing machine wasn’t functioning properly and did not clean our clothes. The property manager was quick to offer free same day laundry service which was very much appreciated. When we arrived, we found the door handle to the kitchen door leading to balcony was not secure and almost falling off which again was fixed quickly when we called the property manager. Lastly the kitchen appliances and tools were dated and need to be replaced. Overall we had a great time. We just felt some upgrades should be done for the amount of money we spent to rent for the week.
