- Fun, character and luxury combine in this delightful pair of properties in the heart of Holmfirth, bookable for groups of up to six guests – ideal for friends or family wanting to holiday together while still enjoying your own space. Love riddles, mystery and a touch of magic? You’re in luck, the main property has an enchanting, Harry Potter-inspired theme, complete with hidden clues and a playful escape-room-style secret for you to discover during your stay. Shops and pubs are nearby (300 metres) while the fringes of the Peak District National Park (4 miles) open up a world of walking and cycling adventures. Follow sections of the Trans Pennine Trail (6 miles), visit the dramatic Middle Black Clough Waterfall (8.5 miles), or venture to the famous B29 Crash Site (17 miles). The lively market town of Huddersfield (7 miles) is also within easy reach for attractions, dining and shopping.
The main house has a sophisticated and beautifully finished interior with plush sofas, a Smart TV and a wood burner-effect gas fire creating a warm hub. The high-end kitchen is centred around an island, making it easy to cook, chat and dine together. Upstairs you’ll find a king-size bedroom and a double bedroom, each with their own Smart TV, alongside a family bathroom with a walk-in waterfall shower. The second property, a lovingly renovated basement apartment, has an open-plan living area comprising lounge, kitchen and diner with a lavish décor, a well-equipped kitchenette and a cosy seating area warmed by a wood burner. The opulent double bedroom includes a free-standing slipper bath for indulgent holiday soaks and a walk-in shower, with robes and slippers provided. The WC is separate.
Outside, you can all relax in the spacious four-tiered garden which has multiple seating areas, a decked space, outdoor furniture and a fire pit for relaxed al fresco dining. Take in the far-reaching views over Holmfirth and towards the Peak District and watch as the kids delight in the charming fairy garden that sits at the top tier. Parking includes private parking for one car, with additional on-street parking along with an overnight car park 200 metres away (subject to availability and charges apply).
