“We absolutely loved our stay here. It was our overnight halfway thru the Shimanami Kaido and it was such a wonderful place to rest. The views and especially sunrise are without equal! We regret not being able to stay at least 2 nights.
The villa is equipped with everything you need to make your own meals, do your own laundry, lounge wear etc. They even left us a few beers, orange juice, specialty jam and honey samples and enough food for our breakfast this morning.
We will absolutely be back...

“Host was lovely and welcoming on our arrival, house was very clean and had all the facilities we needed for an overnight stay while cycling the Shimanani Kaido trail. Because of the holidays, there was not much open for dinner nearby, but we were notified in advance so that we could get dinner groceries on our way in.”

“When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times. Staff were pleasant but breakfast was limited and when we asked for a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it. The room is large but was taken up by 4 double futons and a massive hanging screen for projecting TV/video. We felt it was intended for a large group who wanted to watch DVDs all day. “The Ryokan has an excellent location at the seaside with many good restaurants near by. Japanese breakfast was delicious and there was a beautiful inner garden .
It is conveniently located right by the bike path connecting to the Shimanami Kaido and a short walk from the Ferry / Cycle boat to Onomichi.
The hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond to help me with luggage shipping . The hotel facilitates luggage transportation between hotels and the Ryokan is affiliated with Sagawa...
