Aloha from the Ilikai in Waikiki! Happy Vacations is a short-term vacation rental company. Property is located 4 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to one of the nation's biggest outdoor malls, "Ala Moana Shopping Center". Friday night fireworks display starting at 7:45 pm, viewable from the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon steps away! Spacious balcony with newly furnished exterior furniture to enjoy your morning coffee!

Starting in July, spalling repairs and full exterior painting of the building. Balcony access for this condo will be restricted from October 16, 2025, to February 21, 2026 (approximate dates). However, after 5 p.m., the balcony will be accessible, but no furniture will be allowed as we're required to remove it for painting. There may be noise disturbances. Mahalo for your understanding!

Starter Kit: paper towel, toilet paper, 1oz shampoo, 1oz conditioner, bath soap, hand soap & liquid dish soap. (once these items run out, it will be your responsibility to supply your own)
NOT PROVIDED: Housekeeping Service, replenish towels or toiletries, Condiments/spices, coffee, detergent, beach chairs/umbrellas/toys, or cooler.

This rental is officially listed as a one-bedroom condo due to its generous size and fully equipped kitchen; it features a spacious open-concept layout—perfect for a relaxing retreat. Please note that the bedroom and living area share an airy, open space with no separating wall or door, creating a bright and seamless flow throughout.

CHECK-IN IS 3 p.m. – CHECK-OUT IS 11 a.m.
Since another guest may check in the same day you check out, to guarantee a late check-out, you must reserve the condo for the night of your departure. If you arrive early in the morning, we recommend booking the night prior so you can access the unit once you arrive from the airport.

Ilikai is a Great Location

The Ilikai is an outstanding location. It's between Ala Moana Beach and Waikiki. Walking distance to beaches, restaurants, shops, and Trolley stops. The staff are friendly and helpful. The premises are clean and well kept up.Our room was beautiful. Clean and as advertised. The interaction with the host was seamless and access to the room was without issue. There were just a couple items I would have liked to be addressed if the host wants to contact me directly. Overall the room and the Ilikai were superb and I would completely recommend.

The Ilikai is a stunning building with fantastic pools that we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. The overall experience at the suite was just average. Unfortunately, this suite was in need of some repairs, which were not mentioned in the listing.One of the main issues we encountered was with the shower. It was not functioning properly, and the handle kept falling off, making it inconvenient to use. Additionally, the shower doors were not as clean as we would have expected, which was disappointing. Another frustrating issue was with the toilet. The remote-controlled flush system was not working, which meant that the toilet would only flush when an adult was sitting on it. This became especially problematic since we had our daughter with us, and the toilet wouldn’t flush after she used it. The suite also had some maintenance issues beyond the bathroom. The lock on the patio door was loose and needed repair, which made it feel somewhat insecure. Additionally, the dishwasher appeared it hadn’t been deep-cleaned in quite some time, so we handwashed most of our dishes instead.Despite these drawbacks, there were some positives about the suite. The bed was incredibly comfortable, which made for a restful sleep. We also loved the location. Overall this particular suite fell short of expectations due to the need for repairs and maintenance. With some repairs it could be a much more enjoyable stay.

Overall Great

Was an overall great experience! Only a few minor issues upon arrival: the latch to the deck door was becoming loose preventing it from being locked (not a real issue as the room is on the 19th floor and it just looks like the screws need to be tightened), both of the kitchen stool legs were unstable, the paper towel holder in the kitchen needs to be re-adjusted, and some of the bidet features seemed to not work (didn’t bother us as we didn’t need the bidet features anyway and the toilet still works. Could be that we just don’t know how to operate it!). Overall an amazing experience and these minor issues did not affect our stay negatively at all. Loved that beach chairs, a cooler, beach mat, and other stuff for activities was provided in the room and on the deck.

Happy and Pleased

It was cozy and comfortable in this studio apartment. The view overlooking the city and being able to see the mountains from our balcony. My husband and I would stay here again. Loved it!!
