*Balcony Spalling Work Notification:
Please be advised that spalling repair work on the balcony is scheduled to begin mid-June 2025 and continue through August 30, 2025. Work hours, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Expect noise disturbances, including jackhammering and drilling during work hours. Balcony access will be restricted for safety reasons throughout the duration of the project. The entire building’s spalling project is expected to be completed by late December 2025.

The Ilikai Marina located at 1765 Ala Moana Blvd on the 15th Floor.

The bathroom felt unclean and in need of maintenance and upgrades. There was something spilled on the kitchen towels. The towel bar in the bathroom fell off the wall when we hung a towel.

It was...fine. Great location, lots of parking available in garage, and nice comfy bed. The building and unit were clean, but just a bit dated & tired. The unit is stocked with the bare minimum (ie no food storage containers, spices, coffee filters, nothing). The listing stated that there was work being done on the lanais which should be completed the end of August, it's not even kind of done. The lanai is locked and it is super loud when the work is actively happening. City views are nice & a/c is good. Again, it was...fine.

Unfortunately, the balcony was not accessible, and we were not able to open the window at night. So, the unit was really hot, air conditioning is too noisy to have it running all night. Furthermore, the construction guys arrived at 8:00 am to fix the balcony, in front of our window, making noise, which is not expected.

Not clean, no AC, no balcony access

Central air conditioning did not work because there was a small AC appliance installed. As a result, we could not open the window to let in fresh air or use the balcony. This was not shown in the photos, so it felt deceiving upon walking in. The room was always above 73°F because the AC unit did not work well at cooling the space at all. We saw a couple of small roaches on our first night but did not see anymore after that. The place was not cleaned very well as the bottom of my feet would be dirty after showering then walking around the room. We also found some blonde hairs from a previous guest (we have black hair). The app this company uses for communications also does not work. They link it in their emails but it just takes you to a broken Google Play page. They did respond to direct emails pretty quickly though.

i booked this room for 4 days , the room does not look like the picture, even though i paid for 4 days we left after only staying one night and booked next at a much nicer resort , THERE WAS A ROACH in my room !!!!, i couldn’t stay there anymore, no refund was given , host offered to clean the property but that doesn’t work for us . so i had to pay for 2 different properties at the same time. exspedia was no help also they keep calling me them put me on hold and nothing, worst place ever

Was almost perfect

Unit worked out perfectly. Only issue was German Cockroaches mostly in the kitchen. It wasn't a deal breaker since I'm actually a pest control operator. I did let the management know. Otherwise it was great!

Nice but noisy

A nice spot close to the beach and Waikiki! I did message the owner because the air conditioning sounds like it's a plane taking off every few minutes. We did not get a good night rest :( they didn't respond to us when we asked if it was normal sounding. The windows are thin and since you face the city side it's pretty loud. We are super tired because of the loud AC but overall a nice and affordable spot

Way to go for a family

I was there alone. TV and Internet did not work, called property management after hours, left message to call me back the following day - No call back. I futzed around and got the Internet. Never figured out the TV. Finally, my niece futzed around with it and got it working. It is closed captioned and no way to turned the feature off. The option is dimmed out. Over all, a family with kids would be very happy with this arrangement. It's quiet, safe, near the Ala Moana Mall. Not far from the beach.

Clean and reasonable

The space with simple decor was pleasing. The bed was very comfortable. There were some issues though. Wifi was disconnected when I arrived and there was no help available at that time. I left a couple messages and never heard back. I reconnected some dangling cords and re-started a modem and it eventually worked. Also there were no beach towels in the unit, although that was expected. The shower was hard to figure out. The advice sent by email didn't apply to this shower unit. Again, I tinkered and figured it out by day 3. There are no condiments or even coffee, tea or salt and pepper to get your started in the kitchen. Yet, I know how to make the best of a situation and found the location is excellent.

Great condo and location!

We plan to stay here again when we return to Honolulu. My only suggestion to improve would be new pillows on the bed. The flatten and separate and it was a pain in the next. Otherwise, perfect. Thanks!
