We are sorry to hear that you did not have the experience you expected when you stayed with us in February.We will use your feedback to improve our performance for future guests - we appreciate you providing us feedback. At the moment, all our main courses cost 7.95, and new dishes have come onto the menu since you stayed.Our driveway does not have a lot of lights on it, and it can get very dark out in the countryside where the hostel is located. There are a lot of nice places to eat in Castleton village, which is 10-15 minutes walk from the hostel.We hope you would consider staying with us, or at another YHA hostel, in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to review the hostel.We are sorry to hear that you did not have a restful sleep whilst you stayed with us; all guests are meant to keep noise to a minimum until at least 7am, overnight, to allow other guests the chance to rest well when staying with us. We are sorry that this did not get followed by other guests whilst you stayed with us.We hope you would consider returning to the hostel for a stay with us in the future (hopefully for a quieter night's sleep).

Thank you for your review of our hostel. We have recently changed our check in time back to 3pm, now that we are able to offer this again. Our team is often busy cleaning up until the stated check-in time, to make sure all facilities are ready for guests to move into. For operational and staffing reasons, some nights we have been unable to offer evening meals for our guests to buy; we try to avoid removing evening meal from the menu as much as possible. We are pleased you enjoyed the bed, and we hope to host you again soon.

Our bedroom windows have restricted opening for our guests' safety.
