“First, the place is on beautiful grounds. There are monkeys and parrots and cuckoos in the trees and it is very lush and green. Inside is not so great. Water pressure was marginal for the shower- just a trickle. The bed was a plastic-encased hard mattress covered with a top sheet. The AC and the WiFi worked, but this was not worth the price at all. Plus, though it seems close to LUN on the map, it isn’t. 30 min taxi to get there. ”

“We live this hotel. It’s our second time in Lusaka & we were here for 2 weeks. The staff are incredible, the site is serene and the breakfast is fabulous! The price for the hotel & amenities can’t be beat. ”

“I stayed in the hotel for 10 days on business. It is a calm oasis outside the city centre, very well maintained, with clean rooms and public areas. The staff are helpful and pleasant. The restaurant prepared special meals off the menu for me. The best part is the surroundings - tranquil, clean, and quiet - a great place to stay for a longer stretch in Lusaka. The electricity and water went out occasionally, but the generator comes on almost immediately, so this was not a problem, plus the wifi...

“This lodge is a very good local experience. Although the lodge needs more attention to get it to excellence, they are VERY friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious - needs a little re-design, but overall good. The restaurant is set and neat, food not restaurant level, but if you are happy with a quick meal made by the manager/driver/cook/handyman, all good. “Absolutely stunning place with wonderful staff and gorgeous decor. The food and drink are great with good portions but not inexpensive and there’s no in-room fridge so plan accordingly. The team is very accommodating and the experience was unforgettable!”

“We love staying at the Neelkanth Sarovar—it is such a lovely hotel—in fact, I would argue it’s the very best in Lusaka. The deluxe rooms are so spacious and comfortable with a separate seating area and a kitchen, including a cooktop for preparing small meals. I also appreciate the washer with a semi-enclosed balcony for hanging our clothes to dry. This is my 4th or 5th time to stay here, and I’m sure I will stay at the Neelkanth Sarovar again the next time I’m in Lusaka. ”

“Sam the general Manager is very helpful and goes out of his way to assist you whenever he can. The staff are very friendly and give you the feeling that they are to help and make your stay as comfortable as possible nothing seems to be to much trouble. The best of being self catering but with all the facilities that you would get in a hotel ie meals cooked to order plus plus. The only item that is missing for me was that there was no gym and i am an exercise fanatic.”
