“I have traveled around the world, and can say that the Sora Lodge is a GREAT place to stay. Staff arranged a complete sightseeing itinerary, and provided the very best in guides for us. “L'hotel non e' situato al centro della cittadina, ne particolarmente vicino ai monasteri -a meno di prendere scorciatoie a piedi; comunque la posizione e' molto gradevole e tranquilla e prossima all\area adatta allo shopping per artigianato e souvenir. Le camere sono piuttosto confortevoli e arredate con mobili in legno di fattura locale. Purtroppo, non c'e' molto a disposizione per combattere le zanzare. Lo staff e' cordialissimo e molto disponibile.”

“Not the greatest hotel. Very tired looking and over priced. I had to change rooms several times just to get a toilet seat! The process with hotels.com wasn’t great either. I had to pay for my room twice- once in advance and once when I got there as the hotel claimed they hadn’t received the money from hotels.com. “I cannot praise this place enough. The room was big, clean, comfortable and a lot cheaper than some of the posher hotels further down the road which probably didn't offer much more. “I could not enjoy the property as for the 10 days that I was there most the time I was ill. I think this may have to do with the lack of deep cleaning. Hot water was also an issue. It took several request for a heater. The Wi-Fi never worked.”

“This was the very worst I have experienced in a long time. Called Hotels.com to get out of that garbage hotel … waiting 30’ and disconnected, then over 60’ to hear that since it was paid, it could not be refunded. I left after one night of fighting with mosquitoes for hours, in a bedroom that was abject, and an owner/manager that was most unresponsive. You, Hotels.com, have a responsibility to corrrctly inform your customers. You should be ashamed to recommend such a place!”

“This is my favorite spot in all of Ethiopia. It was my second stay at this hotel and proved to be as special as the first. The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a shower. The view from the balcony is extraordinary with crows, eagles and hawks flying at by. The morning coffee was delicious and everyone was extremely accommodating and kind. I highly recommend.”
