The room was very small. It was extremely difficult for my wife and I maneuver through the room at the same time.
The bed was a Full size, not a Queen as advertised and paid for. When I said something to the front desk clerk, she informed me that the hotel only had queen size beds, there were no other sizes. We measured the bed and we sleep on a queen size bed at home. The bed in room 314 was definitely a full. I don’t think a queen size bed would even fit in that room.
There was also a hole in the bathroom door that looked like someone had punched it. We did not report that because we did not expect the door to be replaced during our stay. Besides, the hole did not go all the way through the door and the door was still functional.
The shower had a repair done on the back wall and it was repaired with a blue substance that just appeared tacky.
The water pressure in the shower was good, but you could not adjust the shower head.
The soda machine was out of order. If you wanted something from the machine, you had to buy it from the front desk.
Everything in the room was functional.
With the exception of the night shift clerk lying about the beds, the staff was friendly.
The price of the room was not bad, however, instead of paying for another night in such a small room, we opted to go ahead and check out, finish our business in Houma, then hit the road and sleep at a rest area for a couple of hours. We would have stayed an additional night if the room was more comfortable.
