Kitchen with microwave, small fridge, two seat table, coffeemaker, and sink. Electric baseboard heat.Has small front deck and an adjacent fire pit. Cabin is short walking distance to Little Susitna river for Trout and Dolly Varden fishing. Approx. 68 miles from Anchorage. 17 miles north of Wasilla. 5 miles from Big Lake. Just 1/2 mile off Parks Highway mile 57 in Houston Alaska. We have never had a bad review!

We just needed a place to sleep and have breakfast each day before joining family. This little cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, well-cared for, and quiet. The host was polite and friendly. We had a lovely stay.

solutely fantastic stay. The room, kitchenette, and bathroom were spotless and exceptionally well maintained. Check-in was seamless because the directions for getting to and accessing the property were incredibly clear and easy to follow. The entire atmosphere was quiet, relaxing, & comfortable. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and welcoming. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, stress-free place to stay.

My parents stayed at this lovely private place in Houston. We were warmly greeted by the owners on arrival. Great amenities and lovely location!

Back to a simple life

This is perfect for one or two persons. We have stayed in very beautiful places with all the perks, this place will take you back to a very relaxed atmosphere, no city or automobile noice. Beautiful place to reconnect with yourself and God

Enjoyed the stay!!

This cute little cabin is aboit an hour from Anchorage. It was perfect for the husband and I. Quiet and just what we needed while we stayed here. We arrived late on a Wednesday and I had a little trouble finding it, but despite the late arrival, the owner was available to help. We would stay here again!

This cozy little house was absolutely perfect for our stay. When I first saw it I had to send a video to all my daughters showing them how cute to was! The house was clean and had a great use of space. Having a separate driveway to the house is very nice it made me feel like I wasn't invading anyone's space. The host texted me a couple of days before our stay with check-in instructions and gave me a heads up about the weather. (which was super thoughtful) She also checked with me a couple of times to see if I needed anything. Microwave, mini fridge, coffee pot (w/coffee and a selection of teas and well as some hot cocoa) plates , bowls, cups, coffee cups and utensils. This little home was awesome!

The cabin was nice, bathroom was awesome. My husband has broad shoulders so I couldn’t sleep well because bed is small. There was bottled water and small bags of snacks which were good.

I loved it.

Got to the cabin and met Jule and Marlene when they brought the key over. If you just want piece and quiet, this is a place for you. I stayed at the cabin to get used to working 12 hour work days in construction out here in the valley. They are wonderful hosts and respond quickly. They check up on you at end of week if anything needed. Wish they were able to keep it open for the winter. Thank you Jule and Marlene!
