“Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent shower, superb service where nothing was too much trouble. good menu choice for evening meals - the lasagna was absolutely excellent with a great side salad and the best chips I've had for ages. The draught beer was great and not over priced .... all in all, to be recommended!”

“Having booked last minute I hadn't realised I had booked an upstairs room as someone who uses crutches this was soon changed to a down stairs room , bed linen all clean, lovely white fluffy towels , toiletries , tea , coffee, milk etc . After a long drive and arriving at 8.30 pm ISH there was still plenty of spaces , yes there is a little noise from the main road but it didn't affect me too much. A continental breakfast was included there was various cereals, jugs of milk and orange juice,...

“we arrived at the black bull in Godmanchester to check in the landlord and staff are friendly the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable we did have an issue with the kettle at the time they didn't have a spare but to resolve the issue the barman lent his own personal kettle from his flat witch he went above and beyond of his duties i would definitely recommend yo stay here ”

“A lovely base for walking and visiting places around Cambs. Fishing is the main reason people stay here but also provides a nice quiet place to relax. There could be more protection from the invasion of insects. Perhaps fly shields on windows.”
