“We enjoyed our stay here even though the room was very quirky with a very sloping floor. It was a good size though and well equipped. The four post bed looked good but wasn't that comfortable and quite small especially as my husband is 6ft 4. Best to stick to a different room. Staff were all friendly and helpful and parking outside was just £6 a day. The hotel is well situated within easy reach of bars, restaurants and shops etc”

“The room was clean, Staff excellent, Bar fully stocked, Wifi good. Room was very small 10foot wide 20foot long, bed very soft, no good for people with back problems. Advertised as B&B cleaner had to get manager in to do breakfast which was basically a bacon sandwich. No breakfast the following day even though it was the chef who let us out of building!”

“A nice modern hotel. Clean and comfortable on a main road that will allow you to travel out to a bunch of different riding and hiking spots conveniently. Staff were friendly and as mentioned it was lovely and clean. Only recommendation would be to bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper and you happen to be in a room looking out on to the road. The windows are thick but seemingly not enough to block out noise from passing vehicles. ”

“It was a clean and budget friendly hotel, it had no aircon or fans so it was unbearable to sleep at night in hot weather. Had everything I needed but couldn’t wait to get out the room.”

“Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome.”

“Spotlessly clean, not modern by any means but what they have is very well kept and comfortable. Good night's sleep, comfortable bed, very quiet. Lovely good quality breakfast 😁”

“Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek. My only criticism is that I didn’t really rate the mattress, the bed was too hard for me. Additionally, a blind on the Velux window would be...
