“The inn certainly couldn't help the fact that York was experiencing record heat at the time we were staying. Unfortunately, the triple room is on the top floor, with no air conditioning (not usually necessary in the U.K.) and not much ventilation - and we were in it. If we had come in spring, autumn, or winter, the story would probably be different. As it was, it was near impossible to sleep in the heat, with very little relief from it.
All that said, the hotel was clean and the staff helpful....

“We entered the front and were met with a warm welcome at the bar. The place had a warm welcoming feel to it too. Once checked in we were taken to our room. The room was lovely. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and spacious. My wife and I immediately felt at home. The en-suite was also very clean and the shower was amazing. Was nice to freshen up after a long journey. There is a large car park at the rear and a lovely beer garden too. Slept well - beds were really comfy. As for breakfast - wow...

“We had such a lovely stay at this wonderful B&B.
Comfy bed and the room was well equipped with tea and coffee, biscuits, water etc. We had no trouble parking. Breakfast was first class. ”

“Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...
