“The house is perfect for a getaway in the Weald. It was spotlessly clean. A nice welcome package with milk, cereal and tea made breakfast easy. Everything was in good nick. Recommend their pub The Kings Head in nearby Staplehurst. Also 50 minutes to London from there if you want no more beautiful countryside.”

“Very comfortable, clean and cozy cottage. Close to the beach, beautiful walks. Shop close by, including a yummy fish and chip shop. The cottage is well equipped with everything you might need. Also a lovely garden to sit in / eat in. Will definitely return. Thank you so much”

“Angefangen von der herzlichen Begrüßung durch die Gastgeber bis zur warmherzigen Verabschiedung haben wir in dem wunderbaren englischen Cottage eine tolle Urlaubswoche genossen. Es liegt ganz ruhig in einer englischen Bilderbuchlandschaft. Von der Unterkunft aus sind viele interessante Ausflugsziele in kurzer Zeit mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Auch der nächste Bahnhof ist nur wenige Autominuten entfernt. Wir kommen gern wieder.”

“Our family of 4 plus woofer dog had a great time and Chesterfield cottage was great to base ourselves from. The courtyard was a little suntrap in the afternoons for the very rare times we actually stayed in the cottage during the day. “Das Cottage liegt mitten in einem Naturschutzgebiet an den Klippen und hat einen hübschen Garten mit Grillplatz und Sitzecke Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, natürlich handelt es sich um ein sehr altes Haus und keinen Neubau. Die Wandermöglichkeiten sind super und in der Umgebung gibt es wenige Minuten mit dem Auto gute Gastronomie. Zu beachten: zum Kanal hin steht in der Nähe eine Radarstation, die leichte Geräusche verursacht, das hört man aber nur außerhalb des Hauses. Uns hat es nicht gestört....

“The Parlour is the ideal location for anyone attending a course or visiting Sarah Raven’s Perch Hill garden. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was lovely to meet Louise and her horses.”

“Das Ferienhaus steht mitten im Farmgelände, so dass man ein bisschen ins Farmleben integriert ist. Das Haus ist geräumig und gemütlich mit schönem Außenbereich, der Besitzer und Familienmitglieder sehr nett. Die Farm liegt etwas außerhalb des Ortes Wadhurst, es ist sehr ruhig.”

“There are 2 sides to this review. The down sides were unfortunately the property was not clean enough. The remote controls, light switches, kitchen cupboards etc. were very dirty (all the areas where covid would be rife). I had to clean some of these myself. Also there was a cheese wrapper in the bedroom and lego on the dining chair which says to me it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Also the tray in the microwave had crusted food on it so I had to wash that up before use. The blind in the lounge is...

“A cosy cottage with a ‘home from home’ ambience. Caroline & Mark have thought of everything; a well equipped kitchen, lots of reading material relating to the locale, maps, walks and games. We wished we had booked for a longer stay, but intend to return in order to visit the many places of interest that are close by.”
