"My spouse and our adult son and his wife had an amazing 10 day stay at George’s traditional stone house. The location is perfect, approximately half way between the Port and Kamini. It is right beside Techne Restaurant but 20 steps up to the door of the house which provides you with privacy from the restaurant and the walking path below and magnificent views. "It is everything listed! The only issue may be how steep the stairs are, but this is not unusual on Hydra or in Greece for that matter. Things are built upward, not outward so there are usually steep stairs at hotels and even restaurants. I only mention it if you have older or weaker members, they may not be able to use the upstairs. My wife and I had no problems though and we're well over 50! Rania is very easy to work with and attentive! Definitely a great place to stay!"

"This property was full of surprises! From the bountiful flower garden, the unique stone art sitting areas on each floor, and the wonderfully outfitted rooms! But what was even greater than the full sea view from the balcony, was the hospitality of the host who lovingly maintains the property grounds, finds books in guests’ language from the borrow library and inquires about his guests’ experiences and adventures. I would not only stay again, but I would entertain a longer stay. LOVED IT!!!"

"It's nice enough, the front desk staff helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was ok. The beds were relatively comfortable, but I would think at a hotel like this they would give me more than a sheet to cover myself with at night. Maybe they do that to discourage people from using air-conditioning and snuggling in a duvet. It's definitely in a nice location a grocery store just outside the front door, which was very convenient. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family without hesitation."
