  • Four seasons of fun are right outside your door from this bright spacious, family-friendly home. Spend days hiking nearby trails at Mount San Jacinto State Park or Idyllwild Regional Park, and evenings relaxing under the café lights on your covered deck. When you want to explore further afield, all the shops, restaurants, brewpubs, and amenities of Idyllwild are about a mile away.

    At home, you'll love the peaceful mountain setting. Inside, the main living space features soaring ceilings, pine-paneled walls, and a mountain-modern vibe. The spacious, open kitchen features all the appliances and counter space you need to whip up mealtime masterpieces, and there's room for everyone at mealtime between the kitchen table and the large dining table.

    After a day of adventures, come home to get cozy while the in-home washer/dryer takes care of any stray laundry. Entertainment options include three streaming-capable TVs, board games, and free WiFi. Then call it a night in any of three well-appointed bedrooms upstairs. Overall, this was a great property! Lots of room and very clean, except for a few things. Overall, I would totally recommend this property, however, the driveway is super steep so if you are coming in the winter that could be a problem.

The location was perfect and the home is exactly as described and listed. Close to town and in relative proximity to Lake Hemet. We’d definitely come back to this home. Sleeps 10 but there are only 4 of us. The driveway is incredibly steep…FOLKS SHOULD BACK IN for ease of departure!

Our immediate family of seven stayed for a few days to attend my daughter’s wedding in Idyllwild. The property was perfect for our needs, very clean with spacious seating areas. A few items showed some wear and tear, but nothing major. Be forewarned that the driveway and entry stairs are very steep, a challenge for anyone with mobility impairments.

Fully stocked house in great location

I really liked that the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need . The location is great, in the woods but you have such a great little town down the hill. People around the area were very friendly.

There are a lot of stairs, the driveway tricky, no amenities such as tissue, blow dryers, so make sure to bring extra, other than that the cabin was clean, quiet, peaceful, safe, and can use a bedroom upgrade on furniture. Had a nice week there.

Great for families with kids!

Large confortable furnished balcony off dining room. Kids room has bunk beds with twin at top and full at bottom and twin floor mattress. Second bedroom has queen. Hallway with full bath. Primary bedroom has it’s own bathroom, balcony and private adjacent living room with sofa bed.

Lil house in the woods.

Nice family get away. Cute house in woodsy area. We saw a large deer and very large coyote walk by the back porch in the evening. It's not walkable to the town but the drive is short and easy. Wifi worked well. Master bedroom is open to a balcony overlooking the entrance. Nice (but not a lot of acoustic privacy). Be aware that the driveway is very steep. We used rocks to prevent rolling. It has all the basics to have a nice family get together.

This property has inaccurate information on the listing they say it as amenities it does not. Also be very aware it has no air-conditioning and in the summer is impossible to get below 90°. When there’s an issue everybody points their Finger Expedia doesn’t take responsibility. The owner doesn’t take responsibility and VRBO doesn’t take responsibility. They’re a joke. I would stay as far away from this and any of their properties. It’s also important note that Expedia was terrible as well. They blamed VRBO and the owner. The owner blamed VRBO and Expedia and VRBO blamed Expedia and the owner. What a joke.

Charming Getaway

This property was the perfect getaway for our family. The downstairs area was spacious and open and perfect for our family of 7 to hang out. They had a variety of board games for the kids to play (teens -3 year old) and there is access to apps on the Smart TV. You can enjoy nature by sitting in the backyard on the comfy outdoor furniture and the kitchen has a nice big island for you to cook in. I love that it was open so that you can still enjoy the family while cooking. Rooms are a nice size and bathrooms have been updated. The beds could be improved. They aren’t the comfiest, but no one complained of a sore back on the trip. The driveway is very steep. We had a van and kept scratching the bottom of our car trying to get in and out. However, having said all that, we loved the property and would stay here again.

Oh DEER!

What a charming space with an incredible location! We brought my father in-law and mother in-law out along with my family for a long weekend to celebrate their birthday and what an amazing weekend! We had at least 25 deer run through the yard while we were in the fully stocked kitchen (that we saw)! We were able to cook our meals all together and go hiking up the road everyday. The hiking near by CANT be beat with a beautiful trail with tree coverage all along. The charming downtown area is maybe a 3-5 minute drive from the house and a great spot for shopping, baked goods or some seriously amazing food at FARROS if your looking for a great Italian dinner perfect to celebrate at! The master bedroom was a great space with tons of room and a sweet little deck. The 2 other bedrooms were nice and the bathrooms were clean. The sink in fireplace was so cool! My one thing you will definitely need to prepared for is there are a LOT of steps and a very steep driveway so be ready to get your steps in for the day!
