“Very basic/dated hotel, no frills, clean, no aircon or fans (during the UK heatwave), breakfast was simple but tasty, bed was comfy. The gym/pool was a nice extra. The hotel was walkable to the town and castle which was very convenient, nice views. Parking was a pig on arrival, tight bays and people badly parked but it was empty when we left so much easier to get out than in. Was all we needed for our short stop in Kendal.”
