“This place is an inn from the 1920's that lets you literally step back in time. The whole place feels like you're in a time period movie set. It is amazing how well kept the place is, especially compared with the old buildings in the surrounding town of Balsam. Seriously though, if you want the finest amenities of a modern hotel, this is not the place for you. But if you want to experience a place that time forgot to destroy and enjoy a peace and slower pace of life for a while, this is a true...

“I good place to lay your head. Not much impressive about the property except the view of the mountains and it was clean. Nothing special about the breakfast, but enough to have something to eat before heading out. For people traveling through, it’s quiet and clean and worth the stay. For those wanting something special for a couple days on vacation, I would look elsewhere.”

Next open room had king & queen beds; desk & chair; 2 upholstered chairs & 1 wooden rocker; tv/drawers/refrigerator area; and electric fireplace.”

“For an older motel this was a well maintained property and very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and it was a very quiet place. I would probably stay there again if I was in Maggie Valley.”

“Place was a ghost town. Tun didn’t drain, split system and sunlight made the room very bright at night. Beds were good, check in with code was easy, construction next door, found screws in the parking lot. ”
