Annual weekend vacation
The house was exactly as described in the property listing. It was the perfect location for a weekend stay with friends while we were attending a wedding in Jackson. The homeowner was great with communication, all of our questions were answer quickly. Looking forward to our stay next year already!

Perfect Location - beautiful home
The home was beautiful! Clean and organized. Perfect set up for our needs with the space on all 3 floors! We had a family vacation which we have not had in so many years. Took our granddaughter to Storyland which was a blast and a flash back to when we used to take our kids. The property was perfect location and perfect size for the 6 of us! The communications with Chris was so appreciated and responsive. Made us feel so comfortable and like I know him! I highly recommend checking this home out for a stay in the Whites - seriously it's wonderful! We will be back for sure!!

Nice location
Nice house in quiet neighborhood not far from North Conway and Storyland, among other attractions. We were 4 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room to spread out both inside and out. The deck was a favorite hang out! Host was extremely nice and prompt with communication. Kitchen was adequately stocked with the basics. Beds were comfortable. Would suggest a rug for outside the upstairs shower. We used a towel. We opted to take our trash with us since we only had one bag, in lieu of the additional fee. Plenty of parking. Overwhelming musty smell on lower level not masked by the 3 deodorizers.

Wonderful Family Vacation in North Conway
Wonderful family home that accommodated four adults and two young children comfortably. The home was very clean and stocked well with essentials. Perfect location for visiting the town of North Conway, Story Land and Echo Lake. The owner Christopher was very responsive to our inquiries as well.

great location
This home is roomy with comfortable layout for a family. The a/c is welcome in the summer. The yard is great for kids. Location is such that you can get around town without getting stuck in traffic.

Family Trip
We had a great time. The amenities were perfect. We loved how clean the house was. Convenient location as we had family staying nearby and was close to many attractions. Chris was a superb host. Very responsive with any questions.

Our Favorite New Hampshire House
We absolutely love this house! We have stayed here twice- and plan on coming back every year! The house is amazing! So clean and cozy! It’s perfect for younger kids, teenagers, and adults. Communication with property owner is great. It’s always one of our favorite vacation spots!

Awesome long weekend
Amazing stay. Chris was easy to contact, house was immaculate, kitchen was well stocked, location was perfect (8min to Storyland; 8-10 to downtown N. Conway). Well stocked with games, kids toys etc. downstairs bar and lounge area was perfect for nighttime lounging. 100% looking to stay again real soon!

Great place to stay for a family vacation.
This was our first family vacation spent in NH since our daughters were little. This time we brought their husbands and our grandchildren along for the adventure. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and was just minutes away from local attractions. Chris was also very responsive when I reached out and very personable. Would definitely go back :)

Great Experience!
My family and I rented Chris’ property for the Thanksgiving holiday. My parents, sister, brother-in-law and nephew drove up from Philadelphia to meet my husband and I at the cabin. This was their first experience in North Conway and everyone was blown away by the cabin! There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space. The downstairs game room was a great spot for everyone to relax together. The location of the property is perfect. We were able to do all of the activities North Conway has to offer without spending a ton of time in the car. Chris was wonderful to work with. He was extremely responsive and very helpful (even taking the time to mail an item I left in the cabin back to me! Oops!) All in all, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving stay at Chris’ cabin and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Great stay!
This property was clean, comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed the long fall weekend with extended family. Kitchen was well stocked, and location was perfect for all North Conway and the White Mountains have to offer. Will definitely stay again in the future!

Great Property in a Great Location!
We had two families rent this property for a long weekend and it was the perfect setup for us. It was extremely clean and well kept. It had plenty of space for everyone and the basement was a nice additional space for the kids to play. We look forward to renting again!

NH Family Trip
Great house. Excellent location for exploring Storyland, Santa's Village, Diana's Bath, etc. Perfect size for larger parties - we were 6 adults and 4 children under 8 and everyone had plenty of room. We were very thankful for the well equipped kitchen and 3 full baths. Enjoyed the wrap around porch in the morning and evenings. Fun play area in the lower level for the kids. Very nice time!

We had a great time. Property is spacious. Plenty of room for toddlers and adults. There were toys that kept the little ones (and Grand Weezie) occupied and safety gates that can be used between floors The only thing missing was an iron and ironing board. 😁

Ski vacation
Enjoyed our stay. Cabin is great location to Mount Cranmore,, Wildcat, Breton Woods and an hour to Sunday River. The place was extremely clean and lots of supplies. Modern bathrooms, nice kitchen and lovely living area. Did not meet Chris (the owner) but his communications and emails were helpful and explained use of Fireplace and gas downstairs stove. No problems the entire week and I would strongly recommend this rental - hassle free and lovely.

A wonderful time at Black Bear Lodge
My two daughters, son-in-law and four granddaughters had a wonderful time at this fantastic property. This is our second time staying at a property owned by hosts Chris and Amy. This cabin is immaculate, cozy and comfortably accommodates 10 guests. It is conveniently located near shops, restaurants and Cranmore Mountain where the family skied. If you're looking for a great log cabin, this is the place!

Perfect home
We booked this home for a quick weekend getaway with another family and small children. Home was perfect and clean. Close to everything in town and just a quick ride to Santa’s village and storyland. Owners are amazing my son lost his stuffed giraffe and we didn’t realize until we made it back home. They shipped it back the next day l. You couldn’t ask for easier people to Deal with . Can’t wait to return.

Great Get-Away Cabin
My brother is getting married soon, so we decided to have a bachelor party up north for a weekend of fun and skiing. This place comfortably fit our party of 10 people and was close to many restaurants and party establishments. I would recommend staying here if you're looking for a cozy cabin. It was a blast!

Awesome House
This is a great house with lots of amenities! We were a group of three couples. The house is beautiful, great layout. Each couple stayed on a different floor, so we had some privacy. We enjoyed the games, Large Connect 4 and air hockey downstairs. Great location-close to town. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay over Labor Day Weekend! The kids loved the air hockey table and giant connect four. The location is great and very close to town. The yard is small but still includes a fireplace so we were able to get our smore fix in! House is clean and kitchen is well stocked with cooking needs. Thank you for accommodating us!

Perfect Mountain Getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed The Black Bear Lodge! It easily accommodated our family ( 6 adults and 4 children), and all of us appreciated the bear theme of your home! The house was well maintained and very clean! What a great location for all the White Mountains have to offer! This was enhanced by an information notebook that was complete and very helpful in recommending area restaurants, activities, hikes, etc. There was excellent communication with the owners who made us feel welcome even though we never met them. Beautiful property. Cant wait to go back!
Like so many others we had trouble finding a place to vacation this summer. Listings were priced high, and snatched up quickly. The place we have been staying the last couple of years changed from a 3 night min to a 5 night min which was longer than we planned to stay. I stumbled upon this listing and took a chance. From my first attempt to reach out to the property owners with questions, even prior to booking, they were quick to respond with a thorough and friendly answer. The property itself is beautiful and was spotless upon arrival. Especially in these tricky times I appreciated how CLEAN everything felt when we arrived. PLENTY of space to spread out, updated decor and nearly brand new everything. We were there during a hot spell and all the AC's worked wonderfully. The property is tucked away where its SILENT, but you're mere minutes from shopping, food, ice cream, Cranmore....The beds and linens were all clean and comfortable. A detailed and informative check in, and out, list was available and both went smoothly. My kids loved the air hockey and kid sized connect 4 game in the game room! If I HAD to have one complaint its that there is a fee to leave your trash which I've never encountered anywhere we stay. We avoided the fee, by simply taking our trash with us when we left which wasn't a huge deal. I can honestly say that is THE only 'negative' thing, which is hardly a negative. We LOVED this property and will for SURE be back!!!

Great time at a beautiful home!
We had a wonderful time at the log cabin. The location was great and the home itself was very clean and well maintained. The three levels were great to give everyone their own space, but had plenty of space to gather and spend time together. Chris was very responsive to questions I had before and during our stay. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Great weekend getaway
Had plans to do a few things while up north but ended up staying in because the house was so comfortable and relaxing. We didn’t want to leave. Originally rented because of the down stairs space. Figured the adults would have our own space. But the teens claimed it the minute we walked through the door. But the upstairs open concept ended up working out perfect for the adults. Would definitely rent again.

Can’t wait to come back
My family and I stayed at Chris’s cabin/house/lodge (all in one) the last couple of nights and we already can’t wait to book again. The location is perfect for winter sports, restaurants, fun adventures with the kids. The house is amazing. 3 floors - so much space - kids can play on the 1st level while the adults hang up stairs and no one gets in each others way. Chris was a great host/communicator. Everything was spotless and most importantly, we felt at home. Excited to be back up there soon!
