“Basic hotel so not for the luxury travelers but bed was comfy and shower good. Has a patio where I could sit and watch birds in the trees. Owner very friendly- made me breakfast every day and provided rides to and from ferry and airport for a small extra fee. Great base for doing Corcovado activities ”

“We loved the location in the view. I realize this was off-season, but their restaurant was not open. Neither was their bar and we did not have any notice of that. Also, one morning the Cook did not show up so we missed the included breakfast. The room was clean And I would stay there again, but just be aware that all services may not be available. The manager was very helpful getting us taxi back-and-forth to the airport.”

The Casita is simple with a fantastic balcony. The hosts were wonderful although only the husband speaks English so communication once there was challenging. “We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Margarita. We had them (Alberto) book our tours and found that if you pay cash (dollars or colones) you save some money on your tours. We did the snorkeling (well worth the money!) - 4 different snorkeling stops, an island stop and a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. “I was at the last cabana on the ridge. It had a kitchen in an attached room. It was great to bring back leftovers, make coffee and enjoy local fruit. There were 2 beds, a king and queen. The shower was walk in and everything worked well and was very clean. I ate at the table on the patio, enjoyed the hammock, and entertained by a multitude of birds, ant eater and ajouti. I would definitely come back.”
