Vacation getaway turned into vacation ghetto
This was my fourth time in executive bay, But it was my first time using a vacation app. The amount of road noise and construction noise turned a well planned vacation into a bad experience! First impressions of the unit looked ok,until I noticed some of the cleaning that got overlooked. There were light fixtures that did not work or have bulbs but were left plugged in. There were also fixture that came on at will and switches that didn’t do anything.smoke alarms did not work and batteries were dead. There was floor rot in the master bedroom covered by a thin laminate. Ceiling in living room had water damage. The kitchen table only accommodated 4 people and when we had guests over we could not eat together. And if you plan on going to the keys,make sure that it lists a blender ,teapot,and or grill. I was told that because they weren’t listed ,I shouldn’t assume that a blender would be there?( are you kidding me?) The sliding glass doors adjacent to the road did not lock or close fully making the noises worse! One Saturday morning a worker walked into our private area and started work without identifying himself and using loud power tools(just what I wanted to hear on a Saturday morning while on vacation). The marina that was shown was under construction the whole time and not usable ,further they were putting under ground cables in during the week!( during the height of vacation schedule) Lastly Vrbo didn’t follow up and passed the buck to Vacasa and we never heard from
