Knowing that some issues are out of the owners control ie: wall heater in the living room broken,was on upon our arrival the house was like an oven (cleaners should have notified someone). We had to turn the heater breaker off. The septic backed up into the downstairs shower after a shower was taken in the upstairs bathroom, requiring a plumber to be called out.
The house was clean however for your guests who cook know this: For a house that sleeps 12, there were only 4 coffee cups & 2 glasses,there are 6 beer mugs but are heavy & not practical, large amount of forks but only 3 small spoons & 2 butter knives. Numerous chips in the plates & bowls.Cuisinart cookware is nice however was dirty, had to wash before using. The large stove burner does not work & the ONLY potholder was burnt & dirty. You may want to add a large pitcher for tea/other drinks. The table chairs are nasty; placed towels over them before sitting. The light in the living was broken & we are still waiting on that DVD player, which was advertised but not provided.
Have pictures/videos to prove it all, sent a video of us cleaning up the water backup. Also the front door only opens with the code, could not get it to lock. Luckily we are a very resourceful group. Maybe instead of sending numerous long emails about what to do/not do, suggestions, etc; put everything in a binder, every other place we stay does that. Also stop asking, in an email, for a 5 star review if you cannot provide a 5 star stay.
