“We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was cozy and had everything we needed. Great outdoors space for a fire and viewing the lake. One warning for boats: we rented a pontoon from nearby with the plan of using it off and on for a day while docking it in the back channel at the cabin like the rental says. With a regular sized pontoon motor trimmed about halfway, I was not able to access the back channel as the entrance was too shallow and I got stuck in the sand in multiple spots. The water was...

“Had a wonderful cozy and relaxing time at The Red Barn. The upstairs was perfect for our two daughters to have to themselves. We enjoyed renting a pontoon while we were there and I highly recommend that from the owner as well!! It’s exactly as described and they were super easy to work with. It was a unique place and that added a lot of charm to the stay overall. I’d stay in a fun and different place like this a thousand times before a hotel or condo that’s always the same cookie cutter...

“Beautiful sunsets. Outdoor areas great for outdoor games (we brought cornhole), eating Al fresco, and campfires. Lake was nice, had some activity but not overly loud. Boat launch is not too far and dock at cabin was very nice. Took daily 2 mile walks on the road, neighborhood seemed friendly - bring your books to exchange at the Little Free Libraries. Cabin was clean and cozy, had everything we needed to cook our meals and space for game nights. ”

“This was a very convenient lay out for our family's stay. The kids caught fish (mostly bass) off the dock, were able to swim, and they house was neat and orderly. We enjoyed our time in the front porch room, just watching the lake. Although we stayed in late July, the fans seemed efficient enough for us and not having A.C. wasn't an issue at all. Next time we hope to bring a boat to explore the restaurants on the lake! ”
