“Hotel was clean and staff, like most Vietnamese were lovely, very friendly and very helpful. Hard to get any information from hotel due to a little bit of communication breakdown on the day we tried, but there are plenty of tour shops around the area. A lot of construction across the road, but it will be amazing when finished.”

“L’établissement a le mérite d’être très bien situé en face de la baie de Lan Ha Il est plutôt bien aménagé : les balcons agrémentés de végétation sont très agréables Mais cela reste un peu l’usine avec beaucoup de touristes chinois, bruyants et avec peu de manières Le personnel est adorable, le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est bien fourni Le buffet du soir est à fuir : très cher et carrément mauvais”

“Das Personal war sehr freundliche! Für 2 Nächte in CatBa war eine für den niedrigen Preis eine wirklich gute Unterkunft. Leider waren die Zimmer nicht ganz sauber und im Bad gab es etwas Schimmel. Alles in allem aber für ein günstiges Zimmer und einen kurzen Aufenthalt super.”

“The homestay was a good experience in general but was quite far from Cat Ba Town. We were able to hire bicycles and ride to the national park and go hiking but there wasn't anything else that could be accessed without motorised transport. The rooms were ok, but in need of some maintenance. Bathrooms need updating and wallpaper was peeling off the ceilings. There were spiders and a centipede in the room but it was fine once we removed the critters. Lots of farm sounds with roosters, barking dogs...
