Industrial House- Cosy Campfire Nights + WFH Tech

Summary:
Industrial vibes in a rural setting. This 3-bedroom / 2-bathroom home is brand new and professionally designed. The home features a new kitchen, 65" TV in the living room, comfortable beds, and two work-from-home stations with dual monitors.

Dog friendly but were unable to host cats or other pets.

*Our newly built home is 1/2 of a side-by-side duplex. Each home is extremely quiet and has fully private indoor and outdoor space so you get the most out of your rural getaway.

The Space:
The single-level home has no stairs and convenient parking right at the door. The living space has a 65" TV and enough seats for everyone to gather around. Our kitchen is recently updated with stainless steel appliances, custom concrete countertops, and stocked cabinets. A Keurig coffee machine is included and comes with Starbucks K-cups. The dining room table has seats seven. In-unit laundry room has full sized washer and dryer. Dishwasher and laundry detergent are also included.

All 3 bedrooms have comfortable queen mattresses. Both bathrooms have shower/tub. The master bedroom has a 50" TV, desk with 27" monitors, walk-in closet, and attached bathroom. Bedroom #3 has the second monitor setup with 24" screens.

Outside find a campfire pit (with firewood included) included, a BBQ, and picnic table.

Guest Access:
Plenty of parking right in front of the house.

The Neighborhood:
Industrial House is set on 7 rural acres and provides a feeling of privacy and relaxation. 7 minutes to Downtown Ithaca. 10 minutes to Cornell. 4 minutes to Ithaca College.

Getting Around:
Ithaca has Uber and Lyft but if you won't want to stay here without a car.

Other Things to Note:
-Dogs are welcome with a $50 pet fee (sorry, no cats or other pets).

Interaction with Guests:
Easy self check-in via smart locks. You'll be left alone to enjoy your stay but if any issues come up, someone will be available to help!

We had a wonderful stay at Evan's place. It was extremely clean, the kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the quiet and the fire pit. The location was perfect for us. We spent time in town but mostly at the many state parks in the area.Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The location is right by Ithaca college, yet still just 10 minutes from Cornell University. There are 2 buildings, each with 2 side-by-side units set on a large property with a separate area for each building. Each unit has it's own outdoor seating with privacy fencing on the back of each building to separate the yards. Although you share a wall with the other unit, and we could hear their TV when we were outside, we heard nothing from the other unit inside when inside our unit. The outdoor area has hammocks, corn hole, and a lovely short walking path. Having a dog, this set up was ideal as we were able to let her walk around off-leash (the buildings are set down a longer driveway so not near the road). There's even a doggie pot unit to deal with dog waste for each building! The unit was very clean and had body wash/shampoo/conditioner as well as basic condiments, salt, pepper and well-stocked coffee pods/sugar/creamer. Each unit appears to have a different design style. This unit is "industrial" with cement floors- I'd recommend bringing slippers during cold weather as the floor is likely cold then. These units are comfortable (soft bed mattresses in case you prefer firm), and well thought-out in providing what you may need. We will be back!!

Perfect getaway. Everything is exactly as pictured. Every need is anticipated by the host and every night is perfect for a fire and stargazing. Bonus points for the hammocks at sunrise :)

Clean & Stylish Comfort

The unit was designed with cool and edgy decor, yet comfortable furniture made you feel at home. Everything that was supplied in the kitchen and living to laundry, bed and bath made us feel well taken care of, we would come back anytime!

Lots of room inside and out!

Our family gathered to celebrate a 30th birthday for a member who lived nearby. It's a great place to spread out and dine or play games around the large table. Beds were very comfortable.

Awesome rental

The hosts had thought of every little detail! The place was spotless, extremely comfortable, off the beaten path , but close to everything. Only negative was the rain, as we were unable to enjoy the very nice fire pit !

Perfect Weekend Stay

We had four adults staying for the weekend to watch a boys hockey tournament at Cornell. It's a much better experience staying here than in a hotel for three days. The check-in procedure was easy, kitchen was perfect for us to eat in and have some home cooked meals and the weather was cooperative to use the fire pit out back. Thank you!

This place has it all

This location was perfect for our week. The host truly thought of everything and somehow anticipated every possible need. The place was modern and clean and the fire pit was the perfect end to each night. We had one person working from home there and the wifi was great. The grounds are incredibly private and beautiful. Quick drive into the heart of Ithaca and close to Buttermilk Falls. I will definitely book here again next summer.

Fantastic weekend getaway with friends

We had a great time during our stay! The house was as advertised with all the amenities needed. The beds were comfortable and the host was flexible and quick to respond to any of our questions throughout the weekend. There was plenty of room for everyone and all the couples enjoyed making dinners together and sitting by the fire at night. The property is peaceful and private. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again!

Clean Unit, Misleading Listing, and Unaccommodating Host

The property was clean and matched the photos. However, the listing is misleading. This is a unit in a house; you do not get the entire house, as there are other occupants on the other side. The big issue with this rental was how unaccommodating the host was when we requested to leave our suitcases after check-out. He did not try to help at all, which I thought was really inconsiderate on his part.
