“Property beautiful. Rooms very large. Staff very friendly. The only thing that was odd to me was none of our closets had rods to hang clothes on. We were going to a formal wedding, my husband had a suit and I had a long dress to hang up, but the closets had no rods, and we had 3 closets in our room. Had to hang the suit from a door handle and the long dress from the shower rod!”

“We had a wonderful weekend. Inn is a little dated but very cute. Room was clean and we sat out on our balcony with wine at night and coffee in the morning. Needed a dusting but comfortable. I would stay there again and recommend it to those traveling. Great location.”

“We ended up staying at On the river after we failed to spend the night at our Airbnb. There was a F1 tornado that hit the Woodstock area the night before and there was no electricity. Anyway, the hotel sits on a lovely spot and their grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed their breakfast and hot tub/pool area. I can’t give this place a 5 star rating for the following reasons. It is a pet friendly hotel which we love because we our pet lovers. However, the carpet in our room smelt like dog pee....

“This was our second time staying here and it never disappoints! I booked this trip during our kids' spring break for a quick getaway and to use the amazing heated outdoor pool. It's a great location convenient to all the amazing sites Vermont has to offer. Would love to go back again in the fall!”
