The guest unit of Magnolia Manor worked out fine for my husband who was traveling alone for a conference in the area. However, there were some downsides, it is directly connected to the other house, which we were aware of, but there was a beeping that was audible in the unit from the main house that lasted the entire time my husband stayed. We did contact the owner, but the issue was not resolved while he was there and he did say it made it hard to fall asleep at night. There was no one staying in the main house at the time he was there, but he did feel like it would have been very loud if there were people in the main unit.

Location was good considering we were close to the MS Civil Rights/MS History Museums, Capitol building and Whole Foods store. Great shower. Washer & dryer with laundry soap and dryer sheets were very much appreciated.Appliances worked well. More silverware and larger skillets would have been appreciated.Toilet continued to run.Parking was a nightmare due to being blocked in by up to 5 other vehicles using the same parking area. We parked where we were instructed to park.Large group of loud young men in adjoining unit partying into the night/early morning. Door separating units, with foam, isn't adequate sound insulation. The couch was broken down and very uncomfortable.The bed was absolutely one of the WORST beds we've ever slept in. We had to move the mattress onto the floor so that we could sleep. Bottom line is we will not stay here again.

Not as expected

We are sorry to say that our stay was not as we had hoped for. Everything looked much more clean and fresh on the add pictures than in reality. On top we found a dead frog in the windowsill behind the bed and a cockroach walking out of the bathroom. The R&B is big and has great potential but needs TLC and a refreshment, repair of damaged

Weekend at Belhaven

We've stayed here several times. The Tiny Getaway is consistently clean and comfortable and the location is located right in the lovely Belhaven district. It's the first place we look at each time we visit Jackson.

Little oasis

The property was clean and easily located. Very private but close to everything. The water get hot and the toliet flushes properly. The bed was comfortable, the AC was cold. Plenty of space, 2 walk-in closets with built in drawers. plenty of towels. Communication was top notch. Highly recommend

Quaint Guest House

We have stayed here multiple times and have had a great experience each time. Very clean, comfortable bed and very large bathroom. Hosts are friendly and easy to get in touch with. Great location as well.

Perfect Guest House for Two

Guest house is perfect size. Full kitchen needs and large bathroom. Bed is very comfortable. Great location for visit Belhaven, Millsaps or Jackson State. Easy access to the freeway. Second time to stay here and will again.

Great disappointment.... And no where to go...

We arrived any driving down a overgrown, broken up, pothole ally way. We get upstairs and there is a 13" step up to get into the guesthouse. Once in the guesthouse we noticed that the curtains were tied up into a knot. The window unit a/c unit was hanging in there with a big gap opened to the outside where air and bug could come in. The AC unit was covered with dust and dirt & the filter was full of brown dirt. The sofa was dirty, floor was nasty. Bathtub had the last persons wash towel in it. Reported it to owner and she responded about 40 mins later with thanks for the pictures, our cleaning lady cleaned the Guesthouse today. Finally she refunded the cleaning charge back. I had reported it and forwarded the same photos to VRBO about that premier host guesthouse. This was a nightmare

Homecoming

He stayed in the Guest House at Magnolia Manor for our recent trip to our daughter’s homecoming. It was a great experience. The property was perfectly clean, had everything we needed and was centrally located. We look forward to our next visit to Jackson, will definitely be staying at Magnolia Manor again. Super cute tucked away guest house

Extremely clean, very cute guest house. Full kitchen and the bathroom is huge. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Convenient to the main roads and to both Belhaven and Millsaps.
