“Lovely staff. Clean room. Good food. Great location. Breakfast was fab. Fish and chips in Dukes next door (part of the hotel chain)was amazing. But the bedroom was so hot. No radiator or towel rail were on but the room was like a sauna. Slept on top of bed with window wide open but very hot all night!”

The breakfast and evening meals were superb and we did enjoy having a freshly cooked breakfast brought to our table rather than a buffet style self service where the food had been hanging around. “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend you try it. Has a new owner who is in the process of upgrading areas and training his staff even more. Our bedroom was comfortable, just no hairdryer at present. There was an issue with the heating while we were there but this was solved with a portable heater till it was fixed. Met two other lovely couples (only three rooms), we joined up for a great evening of quizzing, we came second!! Also have other entertainment throughout the week. Food...

The bed was comfortable, and there were some nice touches such as strawberries to put on our cereal at breakfast, home-made marmalade, and nice biscuits on the tea tray in our room. We appreciated these.”
