For starters, we booked a 2 double bed family room (suite) but on reaching the hotel offered only a normal 1 double bed room, which was in the basement. After we pushed back, a dark, damp room with 2 double beds was shown, which was practically unlivable because of the dampness. So we had to settle for the smaller room. This also was poorly maintained overall and in an area of the hotel which was more the wedding event venue rather than being part of hotel. Hotel meal and snack prices were too inflated for the type of hotel it is. Breakfast buffet was very limited and never started on time. Small additional requests were treated as major favours. Because of some goof up of Expedia (not fault of the hotel), my with breakfast booking was shown as ROOM only. This took well over 2 hour to resolve on call with Expedia, with me standing the hotel front desk. Hotel literally said we cannot help and please discuss with Expedia. In a nutshell, not recommending this hotel unless either you get a great deal or there is no other option.

The room was okay, but it was not very clean and had an unpleasant smell. The TV was not working, and despite informing the staff, they were unable to fix it and showed no willingness to resolve the issue. Although Wi-Fi was provided, the internet speed was extremely poor and not a single app worked, making it useless. Also a formal complain about a serious issue with my recent hotel booking made through Expedia. I booked a hotel room for a two-day stay, and my booking clearly mentioned that breakfast was included for both days (I have screenshots as proof). However, upon reaching the hotel, the reception staff informed me that they had received only a room-only booking from Expedia and that breakfast was not included. I was told that if I wanted breakfast, I would have to pay separately. Left with no alternative, I was forced to pay again for breakfast for both days, in addition to the room charges already paid through Expedia. This situation was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I am deeply disappointed with this experience and would like a clear explanation on whether this issue was caused by Expedia’s booking system or the hotel’s mismanagement. Regardless, as the booking was made through your platform, I hold Expedia responsible for ensuring that the services shown at the time of booking are honored. Action requested: Immediate refund of the breakfast amount that I was forced to pay at the hotel. A written clarification on how this error occurred.
