Well maintained rooms. Nice gardens. Old fashioned breakfast/dining room. Pool but otherwise limited facilities. Rambagh next door though. Staff friendly and helpful.

Elegant, relaxed luxury
Gorgeous place - lovely elegant room and service. The best part os the access to the neughbouring Rambagh palace which is simply the most luxurious place - huge gardens with peacocks and lively restaurants.

An oasis in Jaipur
I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff make you feel like you’re at home, incredibly generous and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Loved the cooking class and learning about rangoli. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

It was really disappointing from expedia .it shows on expedia website that its 5 star hotel .but in actual its 3 starr .i was feeling like a cheated this time .if y guys dont know about the hotel rating u should not have put any kind of false info on ur website .hotel enterance is really weird .u cant easily find the enterance .its kind of gueat house not a five star hotel .may be the person who did it he or she needa to learn about the rating

Perfect place in the center of Jaipur
My wife and I spent 2 nights in Taj SMS Hotel in the beginning of May, 2018. The location and the room were very good, the hotel provides everything you need. The staff is great, they try to help you in every step and it makes your stay excellent. The Manager took a photo of us and soon the printed photo was in our room (now in our Moscow apartment we look at that photo and feel nostalgia for those days in Jaipur). The room had no chairs on the balcony, we told that It would be great if there we something to sit on - and in 5 minutes the chairs were on our balcony! So, don’t hesitate to ask!)) The breakfast was excellent and the dinner too. Every day the chef went to the hall and asked if everything was enough tasty:) And it was very tasty! Checking out we were given some water to drink on the road to Delhi! It was so cute! In India service is often very good, but this time it was just unbelievable perfect!

Taj SMS hotel review April 2018
We were coming from Ranthambore National Park after couple days of tiger safari. On our way to Mumbai. Great hotel approx 25mins outside old Jaipur. Away from hustle. Next door is bigger and more famous Taj Rambaug Palace hotel. Guests from SMS can go there and have drinks as we did it or have a meal and book it to their room. Food options are good even for vegetarians. Breakfast is hotel buffet. Also very good. Service is great and at Taj high standards most of the time. Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable stay, would recommend
Check in was smooth. Room was very tastefully done, some minor lapses in bath-room with respect to house-keeping were quickly remedied. In-room heater was appreciated. Loved the attached restaurant. Limited spread readily available, guests encouraged to order from the menu (for breakfast, at no extra charge). This ensures food is not wasted. We ate at the restaurant both breakfast and dinner and the food was awesome. Front desk staff is great, would like to especially commend Atirah. Limited access to Taj Rambagh Palace, which is somewhat of an issue. Great location. Good wi-fi.

Buen hotel, dificultades en la relación
El hotel se ve muy bueno y de buena calidad, el manejo del administrador era muy incómoda, entrometido, preguntas de más, insistente sin necesidad, había un "mago" que nos pedía a cada rato que viéramos aunque nosotros no queríamos verlo.; insistía en llevarnos la ropa al "laundry" del hotel. Salvo esa desubicación por parte de este personaje la estadía fue agradable.

Excellent hotel, great location, helpful staff
We stayed here for 2 nights in early March. Hotel staff were incredibly helpful, arranging a tour and car. Accommodation is of a good standard and the facilities excellent, especially the Polo bar and restaurant at the adjoining Rambagh Palace. Would stay here again.

Home away from home in Jaipur
The service was exceptional, even by Taj standards. Mr. Sodhi, the manager of the property addressed us by our last names and made it a point to interact with us and extend personal hospitality. Magan, was attentive and tried to get us involved all the activities. Location is excellent, and it was quick and easy to get to most spots on our list, while the proximity to Rambaugh Palace means you have excellent choices for a drink and dinner in the evening. The lunch and dinner experience could be improved somewhat at this property. Overall a great stay, certainly worth recommending, as its decent value too.

Wonderful rooms, food and service—next to a PALACE
We LOVED the SMS. We receive incredible service from the moment we arrived (two hours early and they accommodated our early check-in no questions asked)—especially from Manpreet at the front desk, who made sure we knew all of the best sights to see, all of the most delicious restaurants to visit, and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. We also loved the breakfast provided in the Amber room and highly recommend it! Other than the outstanding service and food, our favorite thing about the SMS is that the property is attached to the Rambagh Palace, which means that you get to feel like you're staying at the palace for 1/10th of the price! From exploring the incredibly beautiful grounds to frequenting the restaurants there, we couldn't have loved it more. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Jaipur!

Beautiful stay in beautiful city
The SMS was beautiful in every way - the room, location, service, and ambiance. The lovely room opened on to gorgeous gardens. It is a small boutique hotel hidden on the grounds of the rambaugh palace. We felt as though we were in the guest house.

Stay was pleasant except the fact that the food and bar menu was extremely limited and over priced for value. Also since the Tandoor was not functional during our stay we had all the more limited options to eat.Staff was polite and helpful.Bathrooms could have been more spacious. The rooms were very comfortable.

Habría que cambiar el secador de pelo (viejo, peligroso y casi no funcionante). Se oyen mucho las puertas cerrarse porque solo hay un pasillo común y porque ha gente sin educación que las cierra muy fuerte. Por lo demás todo muy bien. Recomendable

Just Awesome
Really nice staff. Clean and large rooms. Well equipped. We had a infant with us and staff was more that happy to help us with all our requirements. They even allowed us a really late checkout as out flights were delayed due to bad weather.

Absolutely worth for the money spent.
I come to Jaipur to visit family once in a year for the last twenty years and have stayed at many hotels, I never stayed at SMS in previous visits, but I took chance this time and absolutely loved it. I liked a very convenient in and out of hotel compared to big hotels with lifts and parking mess. Access to Rambagh palace was convenient, I walked through Rambagh palace to Rambagh Golf course.

A very good value stay.
This hotel was recommended to me by a colleague. It has excellent rooms. Huge huge rooms and beds. Nicely furnished. There is a small pool outside in a nice garden. The staff are really nice and attentive. We were really well looked after. This is a little way out of the centre of Jaipur but nothing was more than a short auto rickshaw ride away. A very good value place to stay.
