Eclipse getaway
We had a great time at KK and Srini's place. We were looking for a place in the line of totality to view the eclipse and this place did not dissapoint! It was perfect for what we needed and the game room kept the kids busy for quite a while. The hosts were very responsive when one of the kitchen cabinet doors came off with the hinge, and sent the caretaker the next day to fix it. The place is only 20 minutes from Whiteface, so we were able to take advantage of some spring skiing as well. Would definitely book again!

AMAZING CABIN
If I could give this 6 stars I would. The host was very responsive and the property was well equipped and very relaxing for a weekend getaway with some friends! Definitely recommend this property on the out skirts of lake placid and will probably book this again for a future weekend getaway

Great location, enjoyable stay.
Beautiful cabin with breathtaking windows that allowed the outdors in. Great deck. Comfortable beds and bedding. Probably the most well-stocked rental we have stayed in thus far, which was a pleasant surprise. Ample towels. Enjoyed the trails behind the cabin. Hot tub warmed up with no issues and was enjoyable. There were some downfalls that need tending to such a good spring cleaning. The floors needed a good sweeping and vacuuming. When we went to do it ourselves, the dust pan was cracked and the vacuum belt is broken because the vacuum was not sucking anything up after making sure the hose option was not selected. There were empty cans out by firepit and one under our bed as well. There are repairs that should be made in the cabin in order to preserve it's beauty and appeal. Hot tub was very high in chlorine that it turned the white in our swimsuits to yellow. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time.

stay was ok
There were a few things sheets downstairs had dog hair on them had to be washed. The TV was not working because of direct TV. The shower faucet downstairs was broken but usable with some finagling. Care taker was great helped when we needed salt because it was icy. Location isolated and quiet in the woods, which we like.

Secluded and private
It was decently clean upon arrival but the real star of the show is the location and the atmosphere. It is private and secluded, with decent internet connection. The hot tub is a bit of a hassle as it takes so long to get warm. It could have been a bit cleaner before arrival and the beds were pretty uncomfortable, but that didn't affect our stay much. The game room was a blast and it had a nice rustic cabin in the woods feel.

Great family weekend!
We enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and the hot tub was clean. We cooked on the BBQ and the kitchen is well equiped. Our only negative comment concerns the cleanliness of the house. We also noticed that some games need to be repaired in the game room.The hosts responded quickly and kindly.

Lacrosse tournament
Wonderful property. Very peaceful and relaxing. Kitchen is pretty well stocked. The game room is excellent kept out teens off their phones and laughing their heads off.

Pleasant relaxing stay
We (my adult children and I) were in the region to watch my son compete in the Lake Placid Ironman. After the Ironman we stay for the week and thorough enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly as described on the website. There was plenty of room for all of us and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to do if you are an outdoor enthusiast. The people in Jay are very friendly and willing to help with any question or ideas for activities.

Family Reunion
The property was conveniently located to many fun activities. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. There was a darling screened in porch with a swing that doubled as a great napping location. We never used the game room due to our busy schedule, however it looked like a fun place to spend time. The owners were very responsive to my questions always replying quickly. Great house! We’d love to come back during the winter months!

Overall we really had a great time at this property. The game room was a big plus for our family especially since there was a lot of rain while we were there. The beds were comfortable. The host was accessible and instructions for property use were readily available.

Great location
This cabin is in the perfect location you can be in so many places within 30 mins; Ausable chasms, lake placid, high gorge falls, and so many hiking trails. House was clean just in need of a few little repairs here and there. The 2 main beds were terrible, which will turn us away from ever going back. The hot tub was great but for some reason it took 2 days to heat up to a normal temperature so we lost time with it. The place is great for someone looking to hit up the lake placid area and stay away from all the hustle and bustle. Nice quiet area to relax in and have a fire with your family.

Thank you for your kind words Gwendolyn. We apologize about the beds. These are very high end hickory beds. We haven’t heard any complaints before but these are rustic beds so I can see your point. We are looking into it if we can change the under bed to make the experience better.

Peaceful and relaxing!
Lovely cabin. The location was exactly what we were looking for; quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi, the fire pit, the game room, etc. The kitchen was well stocked for meal preparations. There was not heavy use of air fresheners, scents, and cleaner smell which is very important to us. The only issue we had was internet interruption.

Loved the property. Very close to Whiteface Mountain. I called the hosts for a small issue and he called me quickly to help me. Lots of space, very private. Loved the game room. Will be back next year. Wayne & Tonia Lagasse

Great adirondack location
Really enjoyed all the hiking and skiing nearby. Game room is nice yet shuffleboard game that i was exciter about was off balance. Beautiful views. Hot tub was very enjoyable once we were able to clean it. Surprised by the amount of house cleaning that we needed to do upon arrival. However the owner is extremely friendly and responsive.

Great stay ina great locarion
Beautiful home in the Adirondacks. Great size for a group. Great amenities and excellent communication with owner. Close to hiking and skiing and Lake Placid and area. Our stay was enjoyable especially for the holidays. Owner had a Christmas tree to add to atmosphere. The beds are newer , a good size and are firm. Could be an issue for those who like pillow top. Plenty of kitchen tools makes cooking easy. Definitely recommend creating memories here!

Nice getaway location
We had a great time in Jay, NY at this location. The spot was back off the road and had plenty of space for people to settle in for either TV, reading, hot tub, games or work. Drive to Lake Placid and other surrounding towns and villages was easy and we were able to make day trips to several locations. Water pressure was good, sometimes an issue on well/septic, and everything was in good order. Lots of dishes, pots and pans, which we've encountered as an issue sometimes. First time in the area and we are very glad we booked the stay!

Very nice property
The house was clean except for the downstairs bathroom. There were a few items that needed attention in the kitchen, such as a broken cupboard door and the kitchen faucet leaked.

Beautiful property on a very quiet back road. House was very clean and spacious. Air conditioning is only in the living room, so keep in mind if going in the summer. Bedrooms can get very warm. Game room, hot tub, and fire pit are great.

Great spot

The perfect getaway
The location is perfect as you are 15 minutes from whiteface and 30 minutes from lake placid. The amenities are excellent as well and our entire group had a wonderful time and will be looking to return!

Boys ski trip
Great time off with the boys. Enjoyed skiing Whiteface and spending time hanging out around the house. Cooked great meals, soaked in the hot tub and enjoyed the great views from an awesome house

Quiet escape for family and friends
Beautiful location with small hill in backyard for a little hike and fun sledding for the kids. Bathrooms are both attached to bedrooms and rest of house is inviting and open. Perfect distance to Whiteface and we enjoyed exploring the covered bridge nearby.

Great stay in the Adirondacks
We had a great stay in this house. The listing and pictures included were an accurate portrayal of the property. The area is very quiet and in a rural area of the mountains. There are no other house in view of the property. The house is well maintained and clean, the outdoor hot tub was great on the cold nights and the kids had a blast in the game room. The house is close to Whiteface Mountain and maybe a 30 minute ride from downtown Lake Placid/Mirror lake area. We would definitely stay again.

Secluded, private
If you want to get away from crowds but your kids want to enjoy entertainment of Lake Placid(30 min drive) it is a good spot to be. I loved covered bridge of Jay and rapids. Awesome place to enjoy the river on hot days. The house was very comfortable for 6 of us.
