“Historic mansion with top notch rooms. Off street parking for guests in the rear of the home. Lovely, quiet surroundings. Light breakfast and coffee were very good and we enjoyed the treats in the cheery living room while soft cello music played in the background sound system. We stayed in the Hewitt suite and the king bed was very comfortable. Convenient to Duluth attractions. Would definitely recommend.”

“A very cosy and pleasant place. My husband and I were travelling together. The hotel is situated right on the lakeshore; the surrounding area is clean, pleasant and quiet. All the necessary restaurants and shops are just 5 minutes away. The view from the window is lovely! The fireplace and jacuzzi were a lovely addition to our suite. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!!!”

“The access code for the outside door was not clearly stated in the material sent (unclear if the access code was supposed to open both outer door or room door) We had to access customer support and they were VERY kind and extremely patient. Make sure you leave time in the am for the little breakfast with pastries and coffee. Other guests were quiet and almost reverent of the beautiful space. The decor was charming!”

“We have stayed at several Days Inn Hotels on our trip... The gentleman at the front desk lacked professionalism as the front desk person is an ambassador of the establishment..personally, if you're unhappy with your management or corporate heads, I believe you should deal with them, not your customers...however, he was helpful with the sign on for wifi Unfortunately, this location is in need of some tlc...the ice machine wasn't working and it appeared it hadn't for sometime...bathroom door...

“Stayed here many times before then they got ridiculous with room costs. Was happy when I noticed they became reasonable so took advantage of it. Many don’t travel to Duluth because it’s become too expensive and often drive to Minneapolis instead.”

“Force on Fifth-amazing stay! We had a large group for a family wedding and this offered suites cheaper than getting 2 rooms in a regular hotel. We were blown away by how spacious, clean and beautiful these suites and rooms were! We had 2 bedrooms, each with a huge bathroom and walk in shower & closet, kitchen with oven/stove, freezer/fridge, dishwasher, Keurig, dishes, utensils, glasses,pans. Nice dining area, great seating for hanging out on the couch/chairs and huge tv's in bedrooms and living...

“Recycling option in addition to the trash bin would be nice. Also, There was only one regular coffee pod and two decaf. There should always be at least two regular. Everything else was great!”

“Stayed Fri and Sat. Wasn't too happy about coming back to an uncleaned room on Sat after a day of being out. Told staff that housekeeping didnt even go in our room and was shrugged off. Why am I paying the same rate as everyone else if I have to clean my own room, beds, garbage, towels etc? Oh well. Ill book elsewhere next time. ”
