I arrived at the hotel and found it closed. No one contacted me to tell me about the closure, so I had no idea until I showed up to check in. I also tried to call the hotel earlier in the day to let them know that I would be arriving later than expected, but Days Inn customer service lines were terrible. I kept getting to a automated message but couldn't ever get through to talk to a human, so I gave up calling. I messaged the hotel through Expedia but never got any response. I am really annoyed by the poor customer service with Days Inn. Fortunately, I was able to quickly reserve a different room online and wasn't completely stranded. Interestingly, the new hotel told me that the Days Inn was shut down because of a pipe bursting about a week before - plenty of time to notify people with reservations! Now, I have to try to get Expedia to give me a refund, because they think I stayed at this hotel and didn't cancel the reservation in time.
